Quick PSA: No DAMP DLC today, possibly up to 30 days?

Furthermore, due to EA/Microsoft/Xbox exclusivity deals, it will be 30 days at the earliest before PlayStation will have access to the Jaws of Hakkon DLC that Xbox is enjoying already.
Therefore, for the people in the camp that is tied to full platform DLC as a pre-requisite for DAMP DLC - it is looking like it will be 30 days, at the very earliest, before we will get the DragonSlayer/3 new classes DAMP DLC.
On the other hand, some people have said that the DLC could come at anytime because nothing is tied to Jaws of Hakkon.
But, Gamestop did have an ad earlier this week advertising the new DAMP DLC, and it was quickly pulled, and now today, there is a gag order on the twitch stream discussing the DLC or its release date.
Soooo...... what are your thoughts?
Final note, there has been no mention of whether the Jaws of Hakkon DLC will be required before being able to use the new DAMP DLC when it comes out. Hopefully not! (if someone wants to confirm this either way, i'd love to know myself)

Is this info gathered from the 27th Twitch stream that's mentioned in the stickies thread or just guesstimates?
Waiting for 30 days or more is a bit of a disappointment but to tell the truth I still have lot to do with current stuff so my boat ain't the first to sink due to this.

Twitch stream's only response was "we can't talk about the DLC".

Stream was fruitless. Maybe Monday will be more enlightening.

Why would the SP DLC release have an impact on MP DLC? We're not required to purchase it, so it makes no sense.

I don't know myself. It was a question raised though. I think the initial worries were the new MP DLC incorporated new classes that came from the SP DLC. The other reasoning was that no new MP DLC to spoil or water down Xbox's exclusivity of the SP DLC.

BioWare's record of leak control is fairly awful.
That's not particularly a dig at BioWare, it's a problem any large company has.
Evidence:
- The Russian achievements leak
- The artwork leak
- The multiplayer was spotted with a little detective work
- The DLC data-mining
- Gamespot advert
- Heck, pretty much every MEMP DLC was blown by OneTrueShot...
The issue now is that given there will be a financial implication to a breach in the terms of the timed exclusivity,
no-one at BioWare will be risking saying anything that puts their backside on the line.
It's hard to second guess how long or what restrictions will be in place,
but I sense BioWare are moving to the Apple model, which is say nothing until launch day, then ta-dah...

The DLC will just have 3 new classes??
This game is deader than dead.

just remember names and their credibility for the future.
I have no doubt the data was real and it was in the game. I also believe they don't care enough to announce it or do any kind of hype or promotion. If it comes out soon it will be Tuesday, but I'm not so sure it will be out then either.

DAI only had one timed exclusive Glyph, which was announced at E3 last year - the one you are currently waiting for. Lets not paint a bleaker picture than what reality has in store for us.

Then something changed. Perhaps the SP DLC was ready earlier than they thought and the studio did not want to dilute the player-base for that paid DLC, by releasing free MP DLC the same week. Perhaps there were technical problems with pathing Dragons in MP that they discovered in the last few days before the slated release. Perhaps the team working to finalize the DLC had to be re-assigned to help work on the Promo build for new IP announcement for E3? Regardless, it has been 4 months since release with no new characters, maps, equipment, etc. I still like this game, but as others have opined, I too see my interest waning. I hope you all enjoy this or whatever tides you over until "here there be Dragons."

Here's my take. IIRC they mentioned in prior Twitch streams that they had a special announcement on the 27th of March. The last patch contained character models, abilities, and specialist intro audio files with dragon in the titles, if blazingdarkness on reddit is to be believed, which without anything to prove the contrary, I do. GameStop had to replace their add for this week which contained a blurb about the DragonSlayer MP DLC. These all lead me to believe that they were preparing the way to release the DLC this week.

A little CSI BSN is in order:
This is what was planned:
Hey! We have a special stream coming this Friday. We'll be on Xbox One playing Jaws of Hakkon with Chris and Liz, two of the producers who worked on it, answering questions and explaining what it's all about. Afterwards, Billy will jump into some MP! ...
From yesterday's Twitch stream at around 9:20, with my annotations. I may have spelt people's names incorrectly.
----------------------------------
Billy:
we did have some technical difficulties last night which prevented us being able to do the Jaws of Hakkon steam today but it meant we had to change our plans very very quickly
--- ok, Billy was already going to jump into some MP, just means he gets an hour instead of 20 minutes...
so big big thanks to [Catherine] QA, [Sebastian] our challenge designer, and [Jeff & Andy] from our programming team
-- huh? Why do you need a QA, a challenge designer and two devs to prepare a normal stream, unless the challenge has changed at the last minute.
basically to look at the issue jump on it very quickly be able to get something set up in a very tight timeline.
-- logically they took out whatever challenge had been set up and grabbed a past challenge (Golden) to quickly put in its place.
Without them, this morning would have been very different, maybe more boring twitch stream, if there’s nothing to do it would be a little less exciting...
-- Because they couldn't have done the original challenge for 'reasons' (speculation).
----------------------------------
As I've said, this is speculation, but why else do you need QA, designers and devs to not do a SP DLC stream?
I don't think this is something to get angry or bent out of shape over.
There's clearly some stuff inbound, and getting all grumpy and entitled about it helps no-one.

I'm very happy Bioware decided to exclude PSN users from the new DLC's release. It's a very conscientious move by them to ensure that the largest segment of the playerbase receives a product that's high-quality and well-tested. I mean, sure, a few bugs are bound to slip through (nothing major though, because Bioware has some of the best developers and testers in the business!), but by the time it comes to PSN, those will have been fixed. In the meantime, PSN users can enjoy other quality Bioware titles, like Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer.
Thank you very much Bioware! Keep up the excellent work!

Cool. Thanks. Sorry I didn't have time to watch it. I'm not so much grumpy or entitled, as you could see from my other posts, just frustrated with the lack of new content.A little CSI BSN is in order:

Let me esplain, wait there's no time, let me sum up: I have been working extended hours and weekends for the past 3 months. So I am only able to game for about 45 minutes to maybe 1 hour and a half a day. I don't have time to really dig into the SP, because I like finishing quests and story missions when I get them. So instead, I have been playing DAMP almost exclusively for all of that time, for the bite-sized fantasy experience. Since ME3MP had 2 DLCs with about 12 more characters and almost double the maps, by this time in its life cycle, I was kinda expecting the same from DAMP.
Most of my friends who bought this on 360, my old ME3MP group, have not been nearly as engaged with this one. We used to spend almost every Saturday night, come hell or high-water playing ME3MP. They have barely touched DAMP, due to lack of interest, even when we have all been free to get together.
I was hoping the introduction of Dragons would both encourage them to become more excited but also re-energize the player-base, which people have been stating and I have personally observed, has been dwindling on the 360 and the other platforms as well. However, I can understand if other people have begun to burn-out on DAMP, simply due to the lack of new content. We can only run the same spaces with the same interactions for so long, before we start to want something else. They do not have to provide this to us, but with other competing draws on our time, new products coming out soon which have similar features, it seems like an important issue in the game mode's development.
I want this to succeed, because I would desperately like to see some-one, especially BioWare, develop a fully-fledged party-based co-op rpg, which would not be the same as an MMORPG. I see the success of DAMP as a powerful argument to both the internal team at BioWare and to their publisher that there is a player-base for that type of game and that if properly monetized, it could be lucrative. So that's it. Thanks for the info. Hope you are enjoying whatever you are playing! I will enjoy DAMP for as long as I can. Game on!
PS thanks for always keeping it positive SofaJockey, you and DragonRacer are two of the main reason why I keep coming back to these forums.
