Like the title says, what is your favourite class kit in DAMP?

If you know how to create a poll them feel free to make a poll with this question. I tried making one but couldn't find out how to (I blame the mobile platform if it's possible) and we'll just delete this then.

I know it's hard but try to name just one favourite over the rest. Sure you can comment on other close contender outdid you want.

I'll have to go with the Assassin. That's my go-to class type in all games pretty much.

Edit: Aaaaahh, predictive screwed me over. "Favourite class not in DAMP." Class KIT

I go hunter first or tank, mage last because they usually require consumable potions(hp/mp) which you won't have starting out.
I go hunter first usually for soloing since its easier to kite with until you make friends and go dps.
Sometimes I will go tank first for soloing or making friends. Everyone loves a good tank that holds aggro.

But usually hunter/tank/mage...
I don't usually use assassin... I'm not stealthy.

I usually prefer a Necromancer/Shaman kind of class. Something Magic-y but with a little bit of a twist. Something a little evil/voodoo-y.

DoTs/Debuffs/Minions

No more than any other kit, if you know what you are doing. Don't blame the kit if you are bad at playing them.

That being said, Elementalist is probably my favorite right now. I started out using Keeper a lot more, but Ele has just so much destructive capability and excellent CC and survivability. It's a great class to play. I also started out liking Archer the best out of the Rogue classes, but I've discovered lately how fun Assassin can be as well. Not a kit I would take on Perilous, though. I know my limits.

For warrior, templar. She's always so excited to be smacking enemies. For mage, elementalist. He's exciting to play. And for rogue, either of the ranged guys, because I usually play while drinking, and managing a successful dagger rogue is difficult while buzzed.

First off, it's for all games. Not just da. Secondly I know what I said, from game experience usually that is the case for mage types. I've played
Diablo, wow, tera, gw2, rfonline, rappelz, muonline, perfect world, rappelz to name just the recent ones. By you saying its the player not the kit is like saying that warrior class here is not under powered, but everyone is just bad at it. If you can't understand what I'm trying to say, don't quote me. I play mages all the time including on da. My preference is still hunter/archer first. In a game like Diablo one i would go to tank first over mage. Anyway I know what I meant so you can say whatever else you want herein.

I play mages on here and in other games all the time too. I don't use any more health potions on my mage kits than on warrior or rogue kits. Probably less all told because mages have such great damage mitigation abilities. You are making a blanket statement about mages like it's a widely accepting fact when it is actually false and based on user bias, and I am pointing out to you why it is false. If you can't understand what I'm trying to say, don't quote me.

My absolute favorite class would be the arcane warrior. I like being up close in melee, especially with destructive magic (hence why I pretty much always play as a spellsword in Skyrim, lol). A close second though would be the elementalist (when flashpoint isn't bugging out, that is. Had a match yesterday where flashpoint wasn't working half the time.).

Blanket statement means ALL. What you BOLDED says 'usually' which means MOST times but not ALL so read more comprehensively.

It is a blanket statement because you are talking about the concept itself of a mage class having an inherent greater need for potions more of the time than rogues and warriors. That's a ridiculous notion. It's straight-up false, here in DAMP and everywhere else.

Ridiculous is you still talking. Simple fact,
1 + 1 = 2
Hp+mp = hp/mp

Mage uses when damaged(hp) and skilling(mp)
Hp + mp

Tank will only use mp when skilling and not hp because of shield/skills .

What you are saying only tells me you don't have any knowledge on other games. In a real world, mages are squishy and tanks are not. Obvious signs that you have been damping too long.

"In the real world" lol. And you say me talking is ridiculous. Setting aside the fact there are no mages in the real world, mages are squishy yes but designed to stay out of the fray and take as few hits as possible. If you're not taking hits, then you're not taking damage, simple as that. And getting back specifically to DAMP which is what everyone was talking about, which is what these forums are for, and which is what the subject of conversation was before you futily decided to try and display the extent of your e-peen with all the important games you've played, mage kits in this game have many damage mitigation options at their disposal, even from level 1 in the case of Barrier with Keeper. Death Siphon is another notable example, and then you have each and every one of the CC and disabling spells. Again, if you're not taking hits, you're not taking damage. If you are taking enough hits with your mage kit to the point that you fear death enough to use a potion, then you straight up are playing the kit wrong and doing a terrible job at it. Now stop talking to me, I don't like to exert this amount of brainpower on those who don't deserve the attention.

Did you mean to ask what our favourite class is that is in DAMP? :P

My favourite class that isn't in DAMP would be English. I had several awesome English teachers and professors over the years.

Don't worry, it wasn't because you couldn't figure it out, it's because you can't make one in this forum. The Lobby is the only sub-forum where polls can be created. I believe they were considered seditionist revolutionary content, and thusly were banished to the realms of Off Topic.

So u say "your favorite class not in DAMP," but then you say you like assassin. So I'm thinking that's a typo.

My favorite class in DAMP is hands-down the elementalist. But I like tanking with the Lego too. Assassin would be third, I think.

Keeper is by far my favorite class. Just for the support. I know if I can keep my team alive, I can keep the game alive.

Oddly, Archer is my second favorite. I say oddly because he's almost the polar opposite of the Keeper. Offers 0 Support, has the least survivability of the classes, and really does little to keep the team alive. But he wins games. And racks up kills. And the balance between knowing when to fight and when to run is fun for me.

Of course I've maxed out my Keeper and my Archer is close. So I think the Elementalist will be next because he's pretty fun, too.

Edit: I realize now what you're asking about but the answers still stand.

I usually play the healing types for the same reason I play the Keeper... White Mage in Final Fantasy, Medic in Evolve, whatever game, if there's a class for healing/keeping people alive, I play it.

And if it's a big single-player game like Skyrim I usually play Archer types.

I always prefer ranged classes. Very much not a fan of warrior classes.

I stay away from healing types as well, too much pressure. People get mad when fail -.-
