they do realize something significantly large, fantasy wise is launching in May.... I figured they'd have a more substantial DLC to release at the same time

Nothing Bioware could release DLC wise is gonna compete with The Witcher 3. Besides, Bioware's fanbase will still be playing Inquisition by that point and the Black Emporium is something I imagine quite a few folks would desire to use(hence it being made for this game beyond its debut in 2).

There's a thread, or two, with a tweet floating around saying definitely free. It also gave the early May date. Obviously that's not an official announcement, but I assume whoever said it either had it vetted, or wouldn't have made the statement so openly otherwise. Stoked about this personally. Gives me a chance to put the game down for a month, and have something to look forward to when I pick it back up.

Nothing said on that, but I imagine it would be. Thats just a guess tho.

It's free. Was confirmed on the twitter thread a few days ago.

Very good.

I mean I figured as much. Wouldn't go over well at all if it had a price.

I will be playing Witcher 3 in May. When DAI releases some substantial hardcore story DLC (with cutscenes) then I will be back playing DAI, creating my new female elf/mage character. :)

The Black Emporium will be a free DLC. Just set it for download and go right back to TW3 so its ready for the next time you pop into DA:Inq.

As for female elven mages, thats what my one character is. Wooooorth it

As a member in good standing of their fanbase, I will be playing Witcher 3.

Same. I won't be playing DA SP until a new story DLC is launched. I have no need for the Black Emporium because i'm happy with the way my character looks. I'll still download it and tinker with it though. hahaha

Didn't they just launch a new DLC?

Played it, streamed it live on Twitch for the BSN, had 30-90 people watching at a time including Bioware's Bryan Johnson who was offering help with puzzles and reminding me to do things I might miss. Cool dude for doing that.

Beat it already within two of those streams. 12 hours or so of play. I'm awaiting the one AFTER Jaws of Hakkon.

Too bad. I was really looking forward to the Black Emporium, and was kinda hoping to wait for it before continuing my current playthrough. Couple minor facial tweaks I want to make. But yeah, no way I'll be doing anything with DA:I until I've finished Witcher 3. New hopefully awesome game from a good/great series takes precedence over content updates from one I've already finished.

Nice. I began Inquisition and then stopped because it was such a mess when it came out. Although that could be said about many next-gen games, it's still disappointing nevertheless.

Anyway, I will probably pick it up again at some point. I'm very disappointed there is no auto attack on consoles. Holding down R2 to attack is so stupid. Don't know what the devs were thinking there. "Auto attack bores console players. Pulling the trigger makes combat more exciting!" - EAWare logic.

I'm alright with it. Bothers me none. Still, more options=more comfortable players.

It makes little sense when the two previous games had it. I understand they had to patch it in DA2 post-launch, but at least it was there by the time I got around to playing it. The "Push A for AWESOME!!!" marketing campaign was cringe worthy and was quite frankly, insulting.

Yes, some console gamers are drooling idiots who go for that sort of thing, but most are just as intelligent and are just as into the game making process as PC gamers; they don't like being treated as if they're too stupid to understand. And that's literally all that was: "Console gamers don't like auto attack or tactics because they're too stupid. So, just push A... you moron."

I think thats reading a bit much into it. hahaha

I think they were targeting a certain subset of gamer that is outside from the one we generally fit into with that marketing campaign.
