there was nothing to stop them noting the CC slider settings at the start

There was, actually. Many people who were rolling their first Inq within the first release hours had no idea that there's no NG+ whatsoever. And they were too anxious and eager to play the game they had been expecting for years asap.

that's what I did.

Good for you, clever man!  pleasantry.gif

15$ ? Black Emporium will be a free download.

Forgive my skepticism, but I'll believe it when I see it.

I think if it just ends up being the Vanilla CC I will be really disapointed and I think DAI should have had ME's Face Code system from the beginning but I will hold my expectations until May.

I wont pay for the Vanilla CC but if alot of new options are added then sure I'll pay something.

Bioware's Mark Darrah confirmed back in March that the Black Emporium will be free.

Silly thinking;Origins did not have NG+, DA2 did not have NG+, and Inquisition was never said to have NG+. No reason to assume it would have it even if people ignored the information plastered everywhere.

And as stated before by other posters, Mark Darrah confirmed it would be free.

Now damn it LP you get out of here with all that logic and common sense we got no need for any of that **** here on the BSN. lol

All jokes aside I played Jaws of Hakkon on my XB1 and in truth even pairing it with the Black Emporium,The New MP Dlc"High Dragon Fights" and any new patches and still its not gonna be enough to make me play DAI again instead of The Witcher 3.

LOGIC AND COMMON SENSE FTW

I don't know why people keep bringing up The Witcher 3 though. The Black Emporium isn't competing with TW3 given its a free update that isn't a sizable expansion.

Hell, I will be playing The Witcher 3 too round then. But at this point I think people are shoehorning it into discussions where it has no place. C'mon folks. A free update's a free update.

Here's what I plan to do on my Xbox One. When the Black Emporium is available for download, I'll begin downloading it. I'll still be playing TW3, eventually the Black Emporium will finish downloading, and that'll be that. I can hop out of TW3 for a wee bit to check out the Inquisition version of the Emporium, but I'll head right back to TW3 and...well, wait for a new expansion to Inquisition before I really can make any substantial use out of it.

Which I assume will be the case for most folks that are- A. Interested in TW3 and B. Aren't continually replaying Inquisition

DAI needs ME's face code system because as an OCD person you wouldn't believe how many times I restarted because of some tiny detail that anyone else wouldn't even notice but it stands out like a mother****** to me.

Screw face codes, I just wish there was some functionality in place to save the faces/backgrounds of characters to reuse later if the need arises.

I would've played Origins a thousand times more than I actually did if I could pin-pointedly recreate my original Warden.

I intend to do the same I will checkout the Emporium but I already beat DAI 4 times so until some more story Dlc is released I will be getting my Wild Hunt on.

I agree there should have been a system in place to save your CCs either via Face Codes or hell use the damn Keep like Volition did with SR4"Downloading/Uploading Characters" something like that would have been great.

Well, thats why we have the forums. Talk about what you want, convince the devs to consider it, and hope for the best.

The slider systems replace face codes. On modern consoles and PC you can just save a screen cap, on the old gen, well... you can use a technological device to save a screen cap. Granted, some people may not have a device capable of such a thing, but for the most part, saving sliders is relatively easy.

Face codes are ugly. They take up a section of the screen, and personally, they annoy me. I vastly prefer the slider system, though I wish it weren't so easy to go from looking good, to looking outragous. I also wish there were even more options (separating brow, and hair color for instance).

Has there been any update on the release date? I mean May is only 2 1/2 weeks away.

Mark said Early May so who knows

Well May 1st would work for me. Being a Friday means I've got all weekend to explore.  :D

I know it probably won't work out that way but hey dare to dream and all.

Since they typically release things on Tuesdays I'm betting on the 5th.  But if they surprise us on the first week of May, I'm sure we won't complain.

Nah when was the last time a publisher let a games studio finish the game before they made then release it.

There is nearly always something that needs ironing out after release, either in a game or a patch. Maker I'm getting more jaded as I get older .

Well, they're beta testing and such I'm sure so when they get it working it'll be out. At what point in May that'll be(unless it gets pushed back) who knows.

I actually meant as a sarcastic reply to the sarcastic comment, 'when it's ready'.  So yeah It was meant as a joke. The LOL at the end was meant to portray the lightness of the post.

Being on Xbox One I haven't had many major bugs in the game at all. The only one I really noticed was having to wait for people to talk which was sorted out early on with the second patch.

I think I beat the game on my Xbox One before any of the patches for stuff came out.

But I did play Jaws of Hakkon so now I guess I won't run into similar problems(barely any) I had after launch.

I was well past Here Lies the Abyss before the second patch. To start with I was missing conversations by skipping the stuck speech but later learned to wait for the speech to fire so I could here their reply.

I ran into the stuck speech thing 3-4 times. That was definitely annoying.
