I think armor being a protection from biotics is stupid. It would make sense that a shield would provide protection from biotics, but armor?
The wild varen being immune to biotics was just dumb.
Why were biotics made useless in ME2?

I am a Biotic God! I think things and they happen!
but really you can use some biotics for shields, some for armor, and the rest for health. just make sure you set up the right squad.

Biotics are pretty powerful if you use them at the right time. No offense, but this is like saying any skill is useless if you don't remove an enemies shields or armor first. AI hacking is just as useless as singularity if you don't strip shields first. once you strip shields, you will find Biotics are extremely powerful.

It's not immune to warp
As far as the thread topic goes, I'd heard the adept was the hardest to do insanity with, but that's not true (personally, Vanguard is the hardest for me. Being in the red all the time makes me jittery). It wasn't too bad up to Horizon, and shortly after that, you get the cooldown upgrades and va-voom. Look up Average Gatsby's videos if you want to see it in action.
For Normal or Veteran, I can't think of a more powerful class. Husks are just silly easy without armour. Actually, everything is easy -- toss a singularity or pull field out and disable 2 or three bad guys at a time. Forcing you to deal with getting rid of shields/armour makes for a bit more strategy/squad placement fun.
