How about some DLC on the Darkspawn and Deep Roads? The caves in Inquisitions were pretty cool but there wasn't enough of them!
Funny you should ask... ![]()
Were there ever any plans for Skyhold to be attacked during the game? It seems a lot of "fixing up" the keep is geared towards that. Any chance that any DLC will involved the stronghold of the Inquisition being directly attacked at Skyhold like what happened at Haven?
Actually, we never did plan that (performance concerns) but it would have been nice to play with your toy, wouldn't it?
1. Any hints that the Warden (origins character) will show up in future DLC? ![]()
2. Any chance we will hear from or The Architect (if he survived your encounter) in future DLC?
3. Any chance in future games you will allow romances with previously romanced characters, if they haven't romanced your other characters in the past?
4. Also seeing as I and many other fans on here are fans since Kotor, and remasters are the thing of the day for the new generation it seems, and since EA is partnered with Disney for Star Wars games, any chance/mumblings around Bioware of a KOTOR remaster, or an actual third sequel/SW game in a different timeline similar to KOTOR??? (I want another single player RPG not an MMO)
5. Will all the DLC for Dragon Age be Xbox One & PC first and us PS4 and other systems have to wait?
Big fan, love your games!
3. No we likely will not allow previous romance options to be romance options in future games.
1. Pretty unlikely, which I know disappoints some folks, but I have some pretty serious concerns about making a character who had no voice suddenly have one. It feels as if it will be dissonant. The Warden is and was an awesome character, and I don't want to risk "wrecking" those memories, even unintentionally.
2. Possible, yes!
4. Sadly, we can't talk about any kind of future plans, like, at all. Sorry!
5. See #4.
Is there any hope for Jade Empire?
Well there's always hope ![]()
Both Mark and Mike worked on Jade Empire, so they're advocates for it in the studio (so is Matt Goldman, DAI's Art Director). I worked on it too!
Our plate is awfully full right now, but the idea to go back to the universe does come up pretty regularly. Mark and I spent a solid two hours in my office talking about it not long ago...
Hi! Big fan of DAI, and have been really excited to see what else is coming from all you fine folks at BioWare!
I do have one question though, and it relates to some changes that were made to the final product in comparison to what was teased in the time leading up to the release. One specific aspect I've been curious about was the interactivity with events in a preview shown where the Inquisitor had the military forces retreat from saving a town, and you had the option of destroying the boats from the enemy to prevent them from retreating and the such.
My question is what led up to the decision to remove those elements that were previewed then later replaced, and make those final changes that were released in the game?
Ultimately, we didn't have the time to make that feature great.
We only had a few instances planned at it needed to be a thoroughly integrated feature to shine
We'd sure like to revisit it, though, because having those open spaces be more reactive to how you have played the game? Yum.
We do not have a sunset planned for the Dragon Age franchise at this time.
I expect we will see more of Harding.
Though those plans are not laid.
I picked up the Jaws of Hakkon DLC, and while I'll avoid spoilers for those who haven't, I was a little disappointed that the DLC was basically a sidequest.
Don't get me wrong, its a fun, fascinating sidequest with some great twists and turns, and the portrayal of the Avaar people is outright excellent in their humanity and relatability.
But the problem is that I, and I figure a lot of others, were hoping that the DLC would deal with the post-credits "HOLY CRAP WHAT WHAT WHAT HE'S WHO WHAT AND SHE'S WHAT AND WAIT WHAT?!" scene.
Is the rest of the DLC for DAI going to be side-stories that don't really expand on the game's main plot, or are you just holding off on dealing with said WHAM scene because its the first bit of DLC to drop?
Can't go into too much detail on future DLC but we will be looking at more story heavy stuff
If it's any consolation, several close friends of mine have threatened bodily harm upon my person if we don't at least tackle -some- element of that particular beat before we're done, so there's that.
Let's just say the requests for story-heavy stuff (and one arc in particular) have been heard loud and clear.
