Okay Bioware. You want a new franchise idea? Here's a freebie. Get with your neighbors in Canada who own the IP for the cult classic LEXX-Tales from a Parallel Universe. Buy all 19 episodes of it. And create a videogame saga around it. The unique and very compelling story is already laid out for you. With many possibilities to create endless plot directions. There are some of the most interesting and amazing characters, I've ever seen in a movie or TV series. Kai (last of the Brunnen G) could be an epic character. So to is the enigmatic arch villain Prince. Who was as close to the devilish character of AL Pacino's Devil as I have seen. Add in Stan Tweedle, Gigarotta the Wicked, Lyekka, Lexx (the ship itself), the cybernetic AI, and a rich roster of sub characters. And the recipe is there for endless fun, excitement, plot twists and episodic versions. Plus the full saga can be told from the perspective of many various characters (from Kai-Zev/Xev/Lyekka-LEXX itself). This is a veritable goldmine of concepts just waiting to be mined by an innovative Game Developer, using new technologies.

That show was weird. But there was nothing like it, and it was interesting. I doubt BioWare could manage it properly.

@Dai Grepher:

The weirdness was what made it work for me. Like Kai routinely jumping off mountains or down to planets like a fallen angel. Because he couldn't die! Zev being turned from a massive ugly blob of a woman into the Stunner of the universe. And Stanley Tweedle going from Space Janitor (ala Roger Wilco in SpaceQuest) to Hero. And who can forget the menace of "His Divine Shadow". And the all powerful cult of followers it spawned. Outside of the weirdness you accurately described was an epic story. And a potential saga that can only be explored properly in a new videogame franchise. Whether Bioware is the right horse for such a promising IP is another debate.

BTW; Have you seen the going price rate for the DVDs, VHS of this series on Amazon? They are appreciating through the roof! This show is gaining authentic "Cult" status reminiscent of Rocky Horror Picture Show. I'm glad I bought the entire series back when they were $5.00 or less.

I'm not sure Stanley ever quite made it to Hero.

As long as we're talking for IPs Bio should get into, I've been plugging Soon I Will Be Invincible for a while.

I saw the arc where they were jumping back and forth between a desert planet that sucked and a water planet that was real nice. Only the water planet sucked for Kai because he sank to the center of it and couldn't get out. Lexx had to vaporize the water planet to free Kai, and he was just floating in space afterward like it was nothing. And Stanley never seemed to feed Lexx anything. It was always starving. I felt bad for it.
