Deep Roads? Darkspawn? Could this mean the return of the Warden, and possibly the Architect?
Looks like we're getting a darkspawn dlc..

I'd love to drag Blackwall to the Deep Roads before his reveal just to hear how much more b.s. he can cough up for my Inq.
Shrieks are awesome.
Origins Shrieks are awesome, unfortunately ive hated the Darkspawn, the exception being Ogres, since Dragon Age 2. They just don't look right.

I kind of like the Deep Roads and I think there's a ton of lore that they could explore in a DLC that focuses on them. I don't think it should focus much on the rank and file Darkspawn though since that's Warden territory. I'd be down for one pertaining to the Architect or a figure like him though. Even more interesting to me would be something relating to red lyrium or whoever existed in the primeval thaig.

They got a lot of Warden questions and it seemed like they don't have any intention to put him/her into any of the DLC.

Bioware lies, they know how popular the Warden is.
Also Morrigan, if it happens. I want a happy reunion.

Maybe we'll run into Sigrun and Nat
B-but they're supposed to be with my Warden on her Calling cure quest. My headcanon says so. You can't have one without the other. :S

Well, most of their issues seemed to be giving the Warden a voice when he/she didn't have one before and possibly ruining people's expectations of what "their Warden" was like.

Give people a voice option like they did with the Inquisitor, easy. I dont expect it to be 100% identical to my imagination, but so long as theres a british voice option, for humans and elves, then ill be happy. My canon Warden is a Cousland, so I cannot imagine him with an American type accent.

The problem for a lot of people would be that they RP'ed as the Warden so if the voice doesn't sound like their own it wouldn't be their Warden.

If it's about the Calling, it would be awesome. The HoF or Orlesian Warden Commander from DAO Awakening trying to find a way to stop the Calling would make an excellent DLC. It may also mean another family reunion for Morrigan. A happier one this time, with "her Warden" of course ![]()
I don't think it'll be anything like Darkspawn Chronicles. They made Darkspawn Chronicles to show us what would happen if the Warden didn't survive the Joining. World gets destroyed and stuff.
I think we'll be seeing the Warden (Either HoF or Orlesian Warden Commander of Amaranthine) at a point. Either in a DLC or in the next game. I can say the same for the Architect as well. I'd buy three copies of that DLC if it includes the Warden and Morrigan because it'd be a gift worthy of +50 approval for my bestfriends ![]()
I think the voice could be a problem only if someone voiced the Warden and died after DAO. Even in that case it wouldn't cause a major disappointment in my opinion. Warden had no voice in DAO so why would it be a problem regardless of whoever voices him/her?

As Alistair would say "I rather miss the whole Darkspawn killing thing" cause frankly the main game had too much human foes and not enough demons and darkspawn since they were reduced to just Hurlocks or should i say putty patrol rejects.

Sure I am so up for some ancient lore on dwarves for once rather than elves. With the new graphics maybe they can show an alien underground landscape like the primeval thaig was supposed to be along with it being filled with the profane not bandits.

They think giving the Warden a voice is going to cause irrepairable damage to our memories. But I believe Mike is wrong about that.
That said, the voice "option" you mention is a lot of extra work for these folks and I think they'd rather spend the money somewhere else. So a fully voiced(x2) Warden (in multiple languages!) could be hard to justify to them, unless their speaking lines are very very few. Which will come with its own criticisms.
All said though, I fully endorse any cost associated with bringing this character back. It was, in my opinion, the finest Player Character Bioware has ever done as it's the most invested I think many of us have ever been in a videogame character. Which makes it damn scary to touch, I know.
But just remember Bioware, we asked for it.
P.s.
Please don't kill the Warden in the first 10 seconds of a DLC where his/her only speaking line is UuuhhhBllrrrrghh as they choke on the sword someone just stuck down their throat, and then we have to find the killer in game. Because we'll all know it was you, Mike.

I expect this DLC will address the Architect, the Dwarves loss of their connection to the fade and how that ties into Lyrium being able to contract the blight.
So a wierd primeval thaig full of red lyrium (remember the idol from DA2) sounds like just the ticket to me.

I don't think it's just about voice as in a voice actor. It's about "voice", the personality of a person.
Look at all of the people complaining about Hawke, how "my Hawke did (x)" and "my Hawke did (y)" and "Oh noes! My Hawke loved being a blood mage!"
It would literally be the same problem with the Warden. People will be up in arms, crying "defiled forever!" I'd just ignore it. The Warden is over. There is a whole other world in Thedas, it doesn't need to be around the same freaking person.
Also, the Warden might be dead.

They already said the Warden was searching for the source of the calling, so they kinda have to bring him/her back.
