They already said the Warden was searching for the source of the calling, so they kinda have to bring him/her back.

Not necessarily. People thought they had to do something epic and rewarding with the OGB but BioWare defied expectations on that one...

I don't think it's just about voice as in a voice actor. It's about "voice", the personality of a person.

Look at all of the people complaining about Hawke, how "my Hawke did (x)" and "my Hawke did (y)" and "Oh noes! My Hawke loved being a blood mage!"

It would literally be the same problem with the Warden. People will be up in arms, crying "defiled forever!" I'd just ignore it. The Warden is over. There is a whole other world in Thedas, it doesn't need to be around the same freaking person.

Also, the Warden might be dead.

Yes, personality would have to be addressed as well. I'm not suggesting it's not complex. I'm suggesting it's worth doing.

Bioware's decisions often run perpendicular to our desires. That is, they don't necssarily go against what we ask for but often make mountains into molehills and molehills into obscure mysteries. This can get tiresome and the story risks getting diluted.

I guess my point is, sometimes fanservice is worth the effort. Citadel DLC.

I hope to see Architect and awakened darkspawn. If it's just killing random darkspawn or broodmothers I'm not intrested.

Well, I'm intrigued.  Beats what I've been feeling;  complete apathy.

as long as they channel more of the Primeval Thaig and not the DA:O Deep Roads

I agree. The older and more forgotten, the better.

It'll be multiplayer.

I would love to see more Darkspawn, but the last thing I want in any RPG is caves.

Kinda hard to have a lot of one without the other, unless it's a Blight.

If it is darkspawn dlc, i hope the emissaries aren't wielding books and called darkspawn spellbinders :/

Lol, we can pray.

I hope that shrieks return. More than likely they would move similarly to the Red Templar shadows.

They'll actually be sporting kabuki masks and be called Darkspawn Footbinders.

Well said. Doing the Warden right is worth it. I'd love to either catch up with him or her and the remaining DA:A wardens (Sigrun, Velanna, Nate, Oghren), with Morrigan and Leli tagging along for the reunion, or possibly even better, switching perspective and playing as the HoF/DA:A Warden with SVNO and Morrigan, Leliana, and Finn and Ariana or possibly a new character or two as an entirely new party. Imagine that. Oh, and Dog. ;) Gotta have the pooch. The dialogue could also serve to lock down the Warden's views on things for future npc appearances if BioWare doesn't want to just do it as a checklist in The Keep.

Might be better suited as a full expansion pack, but can you imagine that? Yeah, that's my dream expansion then. And seriously doable, absolutely. Maybe not for this dlc though. :-/ Dunno. I don't know how far along they are. The Warden's gotta show up this game's lifespan at some point though. It'll be an extreme, extreme disappointment if they don't, since we have Morrigan and Leliana so prominent. That's what's missing that'd really let me fall in love with DA again. If it ends up being the npc route, that's less awesome, but still good. I really enjoy Hawke in this game, even if they didn't let us have as much input into their views as I'd like. Still some of the best moments in the game.

I only want to see the Warden or Hawke again if their love interests are with them. I'm tired of them being separated in every game for silly reasons.

What about Wardens and Hawkes that have no love interests? Seems like a lot of effort to go through to include every possibility(every LI and changing the whole thing to accommodate no LI).

Then it would be easier not to have either of them show up. I was stating my opinion. I don't think the no-LI group should be the default standard, but if it takes too many resources to include LIs then I don't want to see my old characters either. They have already all cavorted off into the sunset for their happy endings in my canon and I want them to stay there. BioWare would likely do nothing at this point but try to kill them off again anyway and make everything tragic (see Here Lies the Abyss).

Took me a while to get into the deep roads love in Origins....loved in on my second or third run. Awakenings barely had anything, and only that one part at the end of Act I in DA2

I'd looooove to see the deep roads/dwarven thaigs in Inquisition.

Time to pull out my old dwarf quizzy's if that happens

At this point, if they refuse to give the warden a speaking part. I'd settle for some Harry Potter esque looking through the "mirror" (eluvian) at my Warden with his happy little wierd family as the play a game of foozball with the ol' Nugskin in the front yard.

Right in the effin feels I tell ya.

Now that I think of it Corypheus would have been a perfect powerful and emotional way to kill the Warden and settle the whole thing without a word said.

Imagine right as the Warden rides up into Skyhold's courtyard and is greeted by Morrigan and son. Corypheus body hops and bursts out of the Hero of Fereldan himself. I picture myself standing on the ramparts with Hawke and Varric by my side during this moment.

Anyway, this effectively provides a massive emotional blow to Morrigan, a motivational blow to the Inquisition as the Warden just turned into the ultimate Trojan horse, and the second punch from Corypheus Mike Laidlaw mentioned he wished he had put in after Haven.

Not to mention I really didn't have much emotional investment in stopping Corypheus, but killing my Warden...oh that would have sold me on kicking this guy right in his magisterial balls.

Still include an LI character as an ally then. That's reason enough to be there unless there's some other narrative factor that supercedes their involvement (like if Alistair is king or left in the Fade). In which case, they'd still have another ally show up to fill that role. So it doesn't have to be this great extra expense.

edit: I would have flat hated any insta-death scene. I don't want closure on the Warden. I want continued narrative involvement, right along with the other strong characters in the series.

Well yea, that's my ideal too. But I just don't think that will happen, and I couldn't have been less sold on Corypheus. Though his voice actor was spot on.

I have mixed feelings about this since the Darkspawn have always seemed a bit bi polar.  either very awesome, or the exact opposite.  Their basic portrayal in Origins, 2, and Inquisition, stunk on ice *aside from the whole Corypheus angle* but other elements like the whole thing with the Architect, and if this potential DLC features bits about Dwarven politics...the Dwarves trying to reclaim more land...or Kal-Sharack....count me in.

Or if its a bridge to the next game.  While I do not want DA 4 to be about another Blight because I find the Darkspawn and Archemons to be boring, if this is the bridge DLC like Witch Hunt and Legacy was, then...again count me in.
