It ain't Dragon Age without some Grey Warden sh*t going down.
Looks like we're getting a darkspawn dlc..

Then why would Pat Weekes lie about it if you say the Warden's Story is not over?
I never said he lied. I have no idea when he said what he said. My point was that if the Warden's story was over, they'd stop giving him/her important things to do.

That teasing comment implying darkspawn/deep roads related dlc in the offing made me smile quite a bit too. I've also got a suspicion that perhaps the Disciples or even the Architect may play a role in what comes from that; time will tell?

It would be nice if we had some variation with the enemies though. The standard Alpha Hurlock/archer/swordbro didnt sit well with me. Would like to see a triumphant return for the Shrieks and Broodmothers.
Agreed. I miss dealing with the ogres because they to me is what made a DRAGON AGE game a DRAGON AGE game. I don't care what Kasumi says in MASS EFFECT 2 but come on.
Btw are we going to deal with the intelligent ones too? I felt they were a awesome concept in DAA. I would like to see more of those as well.

Kal-Sharok would be awesome.
I also want to see the disciples and other darkspawn. There absence was a little weird in the main story considering Corypheus' control over the taint.

Well, if we are getting more Darkspawn dlc, I hope it would bring more dwarf content as well as it was very scarce in Inquisition. Hopefully, something more lore-related, than Jaws of Hakkon. Wouldn't mind if it was done as closed zone, in style of missions from main plot.

Glad to hear it, It's a nobrainer to add in a darkspawn related DLC to Inquisition given that we only encounter a few hurlocks and ghouls in the main game. Here's hoping the Architect gets involved, I'd love to see how the Inquisition party would react to meeting another blighted magister who is rather more civilized than Corypheus. ![]()

More like they are having him do other things that aren't important to the plot. And honestly, it's for the best.

Uhm... isn't curing the Calling a big deal?
I find it very odd that they would leave something like that up to headcanon.

I want to see the dwarves again. If that's Deep Roads, that's fine, but make sure it involves lore about the dwarves.
It would be awesome to have Dwarves expanded upon in the DLC. It could be about their religion, how things are fairing under the new rule, what has been going on recently since it's been nearly 10 years..
Pretty much something to tie the race into the DLC. I have been looking forward to going back into the Deep Roads even though it was a long part of DAO. I figure it will have decent input of Dwarves noticing a Dwarven PC Hero. Here's hoping!

That's Funny cause bioware made it clear that they want to stay away from him/her. Even Pat Weekes said that he has no desire to see the warden again.
Pat Weekes: "The honest answer is, I wouldn’t want to go back to the Hero of Ferelden. I think the hero had a freaking awesome story — you had chance to die heroically, or you had chance to survive and ride off into the sunset with their lover. But remember when you all asked for Hawke to come back, how are you people feeling about that now? So i’d say be careful what you wish for. If we brought the hero back, I'm not sure it would be a happy story."
i think he's implying to those who killed off their wardens when facing the dragon in DAO and would feel cheated if he/she was brought back to life.
How the hell did you get that from Weekes' quote?

Well he said he doesn't want to use the warden again because of so many outcomes and variables.

The "not bringing the warden back" was reinforced a few days ago in the Kotaku Q&A:
Question: Any hints that the Warden (origins character) will show up in future DLC? ![]()
Mike Laidlaw: Pretty unlikely, which I know disappoints some folks, but I have some pretty serious concerns about making a character who had no voice suddenly have one. It feels as if it will be dissonant. The Warden is and was an awesome character, and I don't want to risk "wrecking" those memories, even unintentionally.

I find this rather reassuring. I don't have too many problems with Hawke's appearance, though how they "resolved" it is painfully frustrating, but aside from not wanting a second CC screen yet again, I just don't want this character appearing and doing, saying, supporting or opposing more stuff without my say-so. The disconnect would be aggravating.

Ah, so another "choice" that doesn't matter and yet they still call Dragon Age a "RolePlaying" Game. Dark Ritual was the most important and touching "decision" in whole DA series and even that doesn't matter in the end yet we still call it "RPG". As Morrigan says in Witch Hunt, "you denied me the ritual, but it doesn't change what is to come", how surprising! More importantly, it doesn't even change the very thing it must have changed; both the Warden and Alistair/Loghain surviving the final battle. Why are we bothering making any decisions anyway, simply choosing random dialogue options will get us the same results in the end. The Voice is the most ridicoulus excuse for not bringing back the Warden. Variable outcomes in DAO is just as a stupid excuse too, since; Alistair can die and Loghain live, Loghain can live and Alistair die, both can live, both can die, both Alistair and Loghain can die in two different ways in two different places yet we can see them in DAI but we cannot see the Warden. Giving a few voice options like the ones in DAI character creation would work perfectly since the Warden had no voice in the first game so any voice could work and no one can say "no, warden didn't sound like that in the first game". Even if the Warden died in DAO, s/he can still be replaced by the Orlesian Warden Commander of Amaranthine just like in Awakening since he's very powerful as well that he can even defeat the Architect (who is obviously just like Corypheus).
If even a decision like the one in the Dark Ritual was completely meaningless (other than a few seconds long cameo), then I can see no point in playing DA anymore, to be honest. Watching the gameplay will be just as much fun since the "decisions" won't matter and I won't be wasting my money on something falsely called a RPG. There are no choices just the illusion of choice. Now I'm glad I didn't buy the Jaws of Hakkon to be honest since it won't matter in the end. Let me guess, those "choices" will not matter either: who drank from the well, mages/templars recruited, who became divine, what happened to seekers. And we'll all be shocked how none of those mattered.
I'm off to go and buy goats, I'll throw them to Bioware buildings like Avvars.

I'm not sure what people were really expecting of the Dark Ritual, but its potential to play a huge part later pretty much dies with the possibility of stopping it in its tracks. The same thing happened to the Collector base.
You're wrong about the voice being a ridiculous excuse, especially when trying to use fixed characters like Alistair or Loghain as examples. The Warden actually requires 4 separate VO's at the minimum when accounting for race and gender, 6 if they actually gave the Dalish Warden the proper accent. And on top of that, a dead Warden world state basically requires 2 extra voices for the Orlesian Warden-Commander, assuming that this character is meant to do whatever our Warden would have been doing. Why should they invest in so many extra voice actors/actresses just to have one character and its possible substitute appear?

A DLC wouldn't be able to give Kal-Sharok its proper due (though I suspect Bioware's going to do that anyway. They have no sense of vision anymore IMO) so it needs to happen in the sequel and be prominent.
But I wouldn't mind a DLC allowing us to see the Rock-Knockers, perhaps on Kal-Sharok business to reclaim a thaig and we can interact with that thaig and get a sense of Kal-Sharok culture.
That way Kal-Sharok can pop up later on in the next game still, but we have some stuff to go off from beforehand.

right, why would they bother invest on so many extra on voice actors while they could make all the character like hawke then? just make it all human with one voice for each gender and call it a roleplaying game even though none of the major decisions matter at all. perfect logic. you have the proper vision for working in a major game company. cut all the resources on multiple voice options and multiple world states since we're not actually making a "roleplaying" game.
