So, I'm finally making an (almost) perfect run from ME1>ME2 so that I can finally get around to playing ME3 with an imported character (don't ask me why that took me so long). For this run I wanted to make sure everyone survives the suicide mission, but I also just found out that the post game stuff will import into ME3 if you save your game (I had heretofore assumed it was like ME1 and froze your import state when you beat the SM), so I decided to make sure I got most of Legion's mission dialog as well. As such, I'm planning on picking up Tali after I get Legion, and then doing both of their loyalty missions after the SM, as well as recruiting Samara with Tali & Legion in the party, etc.

 

What I'd like to know is: is this actually the minimal loyalty required for a zero death SM?

From the looks of it, everyone would survive.

Yeah, I've taken a look at it. Just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything.

 

Yeah, I was planning on recruiting Thane after the SM since I didn't want to have to do his Loyalty mission before Legion, but I just realized that I could just do Tali's loyalty mission right before the SM anyway, so I'll just go ahead and pick him up.

 

PS. How do you get the ME1 icon to show up under your avatar?

Why is Zaeed listed as non-loyal? You can do his LM before Horizon.

 

And if this is a matter of advancing Legion's dialogue, you can do a number of side missions after the SM. There are at least two, maybe three that are quick and involve little to no fighting.

Won't your squad members die in ME3 though?

Only Zaeed, Miranda, and afaik also Kasumi, and Grunt can die in ME3 depending on their Loyalty.

 

If the op does the missing Loyalty mission after the SM, as already intended with Tali and Legion, none of the 'optional' deaths will occur in ME3.

Miranda, Zaeed, Kasumi and Grunt will die no matter what if they aren't loyal. The rest can live depending on the playthrough

 

Legion and Thane will always die no matter  if they're loyal or not

Ah, I knew that Legion and Thane always die, I just wasn't really paying attention. As long as Odds does all of those loyalty missions before importing they should be fine.
