Is there any consideration for a Canadian distributor, not just an American one?  I've ordered several times from the store before, and never found this shipping as insane as I have this time. 

 

Looking at buying two books, totaling $120, which is doable... but then shipping on the items is just under $60. That is outrageous. I get that the items are heavy(ish), but $60? Then, don't  forget the conversion from US to CA dollar... The total cost for the two books came to $233. That's ridiculous. I know if people really want them, they'll pay that, but I literally shot coffee out my nose when I saw that price tag. 

 

It just ticks me off even more because I can literally throw a rock at the Bioware office here in Edmonton on my way home everyday. It would be nice if they had some form of distribution, or sales outlet, that was a little more reasonable.

 

Until then, I'll just stare at the pictures of the World of Thedas longingly...

Not sure what books you are ordering, but the 'normal' books are available at other book store. Other items are (now and then) also available on different stores if you're lucky. I myself got the flemeth statue that way from amazon for way cheaper (less shipping cost and no VAT). No garanties that it will be available, but maybe it is worth it looking around from now and then. You could get lucky

I feel you, the shipping prices are pretty damn crazy, especially for the books.

I was thinking of getting that new "The World of Thedas V2" exclusive edition from the store but the shipping to Australia is $67....god forbid I wanted 2 books...then it'd be over $100 for just the shipping.  I understand that in my case, Australia is a fair way away, but I've ordered plenty of stuff from overseas on other sites and it's never that much.  You'd think they were shipping them in gold crates for the prices they charge lol.

The World of Thedas V2 exclusive was one I wanted. The other was the Art of Mass Effect, which I just ordered from Amazon instead.

Well I ordered that book and the rpg one. Shipping did not increase that mutch (was around 60-70 total). That was to the Netherlands, but I got the feeling that the basic shipping cost are very high. Extra for more products seem resanable
