Starting anew I was back in the Hinterlands again, and making my way to the Apostates, in this case, and was constantly afflicted by groups of mobs spawning right on top of me. I literally mean right on top of me, bam, suddenly there was 3 templars in my face.

Not only was that a problem, but as I fought, more and more groups kept spawning in to join the fight. By the time I reached the apostate cave I had no potions left at all to support me going in. I certainly couldn't go back to camp because this would just happen all over again.

After you kill the Templars and Apostates off, this problem for the most part end, they will happen again with bears, for example, but not to the insane degree of the above example.

Can't you do anything about this, BioWare? It's been a problem a long time in just the Hinterlands...

You can do my method : not put a single foot in the burning village before the apostate cave and the templar Hideout is wiped out. By turning around the map on north and south, you can avoid them.

But, yeah, this part is hellish. Not only they spawn strangly but they even vanish in thin air. Skyrim is an openworld game with "encounters alerts" too but they are triggered at a distance, not at point blank range.

Working as intended, you're just too weak to deal with it.

In practice dealing with the Templars first will take the aggression of the area down a notch.

I only had a bear "problem" 2-3 times when I played through the game. But mostly they tended to spawn right infront of me while I was busy killing off some enemies etc. Even if I got off lightly its a huge problem for others, so it should be fixed.
