Shoot her until she has no barrier, AP Arrow to debuff her armor, then shoot her to death (or more AP Arrows).

I would never use my precious grenades on arrows. I'm not robin hood

A few days ago I had someone use a Talon Merc with a Reegar and Harrier on Hazard Giant. They didn't do objectives, they didn't help with objectives, they didn't revive teammates, they just ran to the grenade box, spammed mines, used Reegar, spammed more mines, occasionally shot things with the Harrier, and so on.

Couldn't stand it. Quit on wave 6. Was doing pizza and the guy just stood in the LZ and spammed mines at enemies that weren't even doing anything, while I was getting destroyed by Primes and Phantoms. I felt bad for the other players since I was the host, but damn. It was terrible.

It's not just that they're bad kits, but they enable players with the worst tendencies to not be penalized for their bad behavior. Which for a co-op game is toxic.

You should have just held the pizza and start circling around the map till the guy realizes there are 30 secs left and comes at you all angry for not doing the objective the right way. That's usually enough to put a smile on my face when the mission failed finally comes ;)

People need to stop start hating the merc mines so ****** much more

Fixed.

But the mine only deals ~2500 damage, it's barely ahead of many other grenades. It shouldn't be very effective. What am I missing?

A helluva modifier versus armor. They are capable of a lot more damage to armor and over a wide aoe.

Well, this though choice as there are lot of classes that I really like. But I have really would have to choose, then it's fight between two characters. FQE and paladin.

FQE is all around nice class and also challenging in that it's not all about skills nor it's completely weapon bases class either.

But Paladin. In my opinion, one of the best aggro classes in whole game.

With right weapon and skill combo, you can literally run all around the map and attack enemies, not just wait for them to come at you. And what makes Paladin so effective aggro character?

1) Energy Drain: Use area, shield % and armor boost, which gives you nice defence and you can use ED quite often to recharge your shields.

2) SF: Reach and dmg/weakening. Use it at group of enemies and/or through walls and then attacked. Increases your dmg nicely.

3) SF/ED combo or ED/Incenerate combo: You can do explosions, which staggers enemies that don't die in them. This gives you excellent window to attack them. Best of all, with right shotgun, you can still do both very well.

4) Paladin's shield: Really fast melee attack that also staggers enemies. It can also hit multiple enemies, if they are close enough. And there simply ain't nothing as fun as to take the fight at enemy and "shield slap" them. Especially Phantoms. It also fun to play "baseball" with Banshees warps. :P

5) Dodge ability: Paladin being human, he has rolling, which is good way to get away from tough situations.

6) While you can play aggro really effectively, you can also easily become tech primer with SF, if there are other tech classes in team.

Here is the build I use, when I play aggro Paladin.

I like a lot of kits and come back to them on a regular basis, but FQI with a Javelin is my Comfort Food.

You guys need to pick one. Just think of something why you like one particular Quarian/Turian over the others. ie. I like this kit the best because it trolls Geth the best. Or when my epeem is feeling mighty, I pick this kit. And so on.

Got another Cain Mine spammer who DIDN'T do objectives or revive teammates. Forced me to use most of my consumables on wave 6 devices and had no missiles or ops packs left for wave 9 when everyone but me got sync killed.

What's wrong with these fools? Why do they never help? :(

I actually suspect...that Summer Glau played the role for The Fury (motion capture)  for Multiplayer...very similar fighting style to....

At the end of that clip it looks like she's doing motion capture for the phantom.....

As far as kits go, if anybody sees me they know it's the Phoenix Vanguard...a bit squishy but a very fun character to play as.

Batsent with a Graal

That's even scummier than my normal loadout with the Kishock.  JIM!!!   Wonderful character, really underrated here.  I ran a few games yesterday with Kishock, Graal and Harrier.  Scored lowest by some distance with the Harrier lol, even though he makes it shine even brighter than most.  He's a total thug, and should be played as a total thug.

The Crusader is my most used and favourite shotgun, but I pretty much only use the Claymore on my beloved Krogan Sentinel.  I think a Crusader-wielding KroSent might cause me to spontaneously combust with sheer joy.

Haha I wondered when you would show up!  I love your Phoenix Vanguard so much I've tried to copy it.  Like all Vanguards it works better on-host for me, but the way you handle it off-host all the time is very impressive.

Yeah, I played him a lot with the Harrier & Thermal Clip Gear for moar ammo. ... But I usually always slapped Explosive ammo for this setup because of guilt tripping.

How do you play him? I love Novaguard: Charge - Nova - repeat in the fastest pace possible until 0 enemies are left. But it totally doesn't work with Smash instead of Nova because of the long Smash animation. That, and my Novaguard playstyle is not viable on Gold. It doesn't work at all.

If I had to call the favorite Silver character, Novaguard would probably be it.

Clips7 plays the Smashguard with the Lancer, usually, in my experience anyway.  And rocks it.

Other than that, I won't comment on how someone else plays it when they're obviously better than me, but I find that he benefits from a slightly more cautious approach than the Novaguard, which I only usually play off-host on Silver too. Use BC with a degree of common sense, and spec it for Bonus Power. But most importantly, practise cancelling the animation of Smash, which you should then be using instantly. I don't want to mess up the description of the precise point at which you can cancel it (best with a sideways dodge), because you really have to work it out for yourself.  But when you do learn it, you'll find him much more useful.

Haha...yup Grunt nailed it. Using Smash/cancel will save you from ugly situations and Smash when it's set at level 6 for 75% damage to armor is a really powerful damaging element,...throw some power amps on it and he can dish out decent damage on bosses.

But i do play him more cautiously than the novaguard who benefits more from BC/Nova...rather than BC/melee with the phoenix....he can be a bit exposed on more open maps because of the range of Smash, so i like to be more defensive with him overall and only plow into mooks i know i can take out fast. Also like Grunt mentioned, i like the lancer on him.
