I have never had that problem and I played DA:I at launch. Currently I have a nvidia 970 with all the settings to ultra and DSR set to 2x resolution.

Maybe it is a legit bug. But it may also be related to your hardware or even the drivers your hardware is using.

That suggests you shouldn't have all the settings on high.

Yeah I have everything on ultra and since I experienced this problem at the beginning of the launch I always kept all of my drivers up to date in hope it would be fixed. When I put my graphics on low it won't crash.

Only with Depair Demons when they use their icebeams and settings to ultra. When I want to evade my game from crashing I need to put my graphics all to low, close the rift and put everything back to ultra again.

I have never experienced this bug, and this is the first time I've read about such a bug on the forums.

 

Given that you've had it consistently happening, it's most likely because of your system.

Well, as you do not mention your GPU model, his assumption that your GPU can't handle it is now way near trolling.

Well you can pretty much assume that no one plays the game on Ultra just to have a few FPS. It runs REALLY smooth on my system and other games do as well, only Dragon Age Inquisition crashes at that Despair Demon. So saying that is just pretty stupid.
The GAME (not my system) doesn't always crash, they can cast their ice beams without the game crashing, but it happens often enough that it's annoying.

 

And just because some of you guys haven't heard of it (apparently you guys assume you are the beacons of knowledge) doesn't mean ****.

I'm not the most savy when it comes to this aspect of technology but gathering as much on the issue might catch the eye of someone who has the know-how. My sympathies, though, I know how much it sucks. Fallout 3 still has frequent to near constant freezes that sometimes require me to restart my computer entirely.

Got everything on ultra as well, it's playing everything super smoothly.

Got a GeForce 970GTX with an ASROCK Fatality motherboard, i7 2600k, SSD Crucial 250 GB, 8GB RAM, that's pretty much it.

Yeah in my case I need to restart my PC as well, the screen goes black and it requires a restart, the PC is still running but it can't do anything.

 

It's just the ice beam really, could be a million things if its a combination of the ice beam with something that happened before it, but it only crashes when the despair demon shoots the beam.
