.. I have no complain for not romances in POE no complain at all..After all i am playing an RPG not a fantasy romance simulator

I like POE and DAI a lot. Got a lot of fun playing the both of them. Of course DAI require "more hardware" and so on, but the immersion is way better.

I do like romance too when handled in mature way.... DAI and DA2 romance seemed a little.... well...childish but this is my opinion of course

Welcome to our little corner of the forums. Here we make the rpgs we want to make, then release them on an unsuspecting.... errr... I mean adoring public, for free*. You can even play Baldur's Gate 1 remake (and at some point 2) in Neverwinter Nights 2.

Most likely because a moderator noticed that some people mentioned NWN2, and/or because they recognise that PoE is an RPG closer to NWN2 than to the later DA games.

I'm trying to play through PoE based entirely on its own merits, rather than by comparison with other games. Thus far it's been fun. Is it perfect? No. But I just think it needs some fine tuning, rather than a major overhaul. It's obviously not going to be for everybody, but no game ever is.

Unfair? Perhaps not if handled constructively, but like discussions about the relative merits of Xbox and Playstation, it rarely ends well...

In any case, one is about a very defined protagonist, DAI is more fluid, one for 5 platforms, the other for next gen.

This is a DA forum, let Witcher debates be in the Lobby.

The Witcher forum wouldn't countenance such a discussion thread, nor should this one.

 

As I said, a comparison based on the similarities between the games (i.e, choice-based narrative with an open world) would be fair and possibly helpful if it was indeed handled constructively. 

 

I don't think we should move any thread which doesn't make DA the sole focus, especially when it explicitly holds up DA against other games.
