No ****, I don't think anyone believes they could. Besides, that's not really my point. We commonly see unarmed civilians get brutalized by local PD and Sheriff Officers and I'm not talking about Furgeson. I'm talking about Police officers beating a homeless woman or Police shooting a unarmed deaf civilian. It goes on and on, in the last several years 5000 American citizens have been shot and killed in questionable Police shootings is anything ever done about it? **** no! So, my previous comment stands because I don't trust the government or PD to do the right thing. Why subdue the homeless man when your buddy with a Shotgun loaded with bean bags rounds can incapacitate him allowing his buddy with a M4 to empty the entire clip into him why he's on the ground crying. Spoilers, nothing happened to the cops either.

No, we don't "commonly" see anything. The reason we see anything at all is because after Ferguson, the media decided to paint cops all across the nation as racist, trigger-happy rednecks. People online, being people online, decided that this is accurate instead of bothering to fact check anything and hopped on the "cops are crazy murderers" train.

The problem with your post is that "questionable police shooting" is incredibly vague. What constitutes "questionable"? Texting while driving kills a good 6000 people in the US alone every year, but nobody is clamoring that we should ban all cellphones and burn down AT&T and Verizon offices.

I am. Not the burning part, just the banning.

Lotta ****** binary thinking going on here.

"We should ban them completely! " "We should legalize all of it!" "Take away all the cops power to enforce law" "Give cops all the surplus toys the military industrial complex made nad has to sell".

Or, you know, we could have reasonable restrictions that allow access, while also not allowing complete anarchy level freedom. Lich Jesus forbid we look at an issue from more than two sides.

No, in fact this is pre Ferguson. So why don't you take your own advice.

I didn't give you any advice to take, so "take your own advice" kind of falls flat. I think you might want to read up on your idioms.

Also, it would help if you actually provided links to these reports instead of saying "it's a DOJ report, just Google it." "Just Google it" is the Internet version of "I heard from a guy who heard from a guy..."

No, it's not a matter of " I heard it from a guy who heard it from a guy" it's me watching a video with ****ing audio as Cops gun down a homeless man or beat the **** out of a unarmed civilians.

It is when you claim to have seen it or heard it, and utterly refuse to cite your sources. Again:

"I saw cops kill a guy" doesn't mean much if you have nothing to back it up with. You say you saw a video, so link the video.

Meanwhile EU's currency is falling apart and collapsing.

The last hope of EU is to invest in Iran after removing its sanctions.

Damn, I must of forgotten to mention The Young Turks and YouTube as the source. Oh wait, I totally mentioned it in my post to Turian Rebel.

Maybe now would be a good time to pass the "Oops we fucked up, lets just try again" initiative and just agree to reset all the national debts to 0.

The Young Turks have 21,422 videos on YouTube and upload new videos almost daily, and you still haven't given a name for the video, so I wouldn't know what to search for.

Again, link the video. If you've seen it and it was as sensational as you say, then surely you should remember the title, so it should be an easy find.

The video is called Police Shoot Homeless Man Camping in Albuquerque. I just watched it, but I still don't know how to post videos. I tried but I think I screwed up.

I found it and watched it, but I couldn't finish watching the desk coverage over Ana Kasparian's incessant hyena voice.

While the force may have been excessive (I won't argue against that), the guy did pull out a knife and he wasn't doing anything the cops told him to do. They said "get on the ground" a good 15 or so times before firing, and he just stood there for most of it, before turning away (I guess he thought he was going to run away?). Did he even die in the video? The description says he was shot fatally, but he was still visibly moving on the ground before one of the cops fired beanbag rounds at him and when they took the knife off of him.

This is why I don't look to the Young Turks as "news". They cover the events of what happened in a broad sense, but they sensationalize it like FOX, CNN, MSNBC, and all the rest.

And I completely agree. I'm not a fan of TYT, but occasionally they do stumble across something relevant. Maybe I'm naive, but I remember when Police were trained to deploy deadly force as a last resort.

Cops already don't just fire at people, because cops (as a whole, I know there are bad apples) are still people who know not to shoot unarmed civilians. The guy in the video ended up having a knife. Since the beginning of the helmet-cam recording is never seen, for all we know the guy could have had the knife out earlier and refused to put it away. He can be heard saying "it's fine I'm not a murderer", but a cop isn't going to consider that when you're holding a weapon and ignoring their orders.
