What do you mean is it too far or is it buried?

You do know how to set 'fetch quests' ![]()
(can't resist but to take a look...)

If you are referring to what I think you are, it can't be reached.

The usual, random loot.

Its a bag of loot that I cannot figure out how to reach. Not sure what a fetch quest has to do with it.
Only that you set interesting challenges to go and look at ![]()

OH I get it HAHA. I have a feeling this won't be the last mystery. I have put 200-300 hours spread out over a dozen or so characters but all pre skyhold and I have never been over level 10 or explored outside the hinterlands.
You are clearly getting value out of this game ![]()
(which is no bad thing).
Oh, by the way.
Got it.
(was not easy)

Not sure if it was quite worth the journey ![]()

This is how to reach it...
Access is via the out-of-bounds cut-through west of Redcliffe Farms.
Then make your way all the way round to Redcliffe Village harbour where you are now on the wrong side of one of the invisible walls, and you can trick a second invisible wall by switching to another party member who with a bit of luck will be behind it. Just some persistent jumping and you're there.

Accidental or subtle trolling from BW devs?

May have been accessible before but a change in location layout made it out-of-bounds maybe?
and they just didn't move the sack (?).

I've been unable to do it but reddit has a topic about to get it:

That's true, they could of thought they needed more rocks there to make it look better. Still like the idea that it might of been subtle trolling though for more fan tears

Glad you had fun getting there! Thank you for the warning. I will now cease my efforts jumping full speed into the wall every time I see it.

Heh, that reminds me of not one but two bags of loot on top of broken 2nd floors in ruined houses in the Exalted Plains. Loot that you literally have to tight-rope jump the tops of crumbling, uneven walls to get to.

I hate them, but not near as much as I hate the shard on the pillar of rock in the hinterlands

Oh, the one in Lady Shayna's Valley?
I like to grab my shards early so dodging the dragon does add to the experience ![]()

You didn't kill the dragon!!!?? *points if you get the reference*
Seriously, though? That's crazy. The length of time it takes for me to get that shard unmolested by the dragon is enough to drive me crazy.
Mad respect, SJ. Mad respect.
