And I am not talking about my subscription to nude volleyball weekly.

 

Having all of the armour I just kept saving gold until I had just over 120,000 and last night spent it, 101 Large Chests.

 

A total of 25 purple items:

 

Superb Runes: 8

Amulets: 4

Rings: 2

Shields: 1

Bows: 2

Daggers: 4

One handed sword: 1

Staves: 2

Maces: 1

 

I already had all of the items except the mace which was a Mace of Thunderstrike which looks not too bad.  I do have good maces as is however.

 

At least I now have 22 Jars of Bees.

What level were the uniques? I'd suspect most of them may as well be classed as commons.

I did not list the levels, guess I should have.  Most items were instant recycles because I had far better items.  The good items were the new mace and one of the daggers which I already had.

That's why I open 5 chests at a time, little bits of disappointment sprea over long times helps me cope LOL

Thunderstrike is actually a really nice mace. You can add even more AP to it with add-ons for levels of ridiculous. I like running it on my Templar. I have a better one-handed axe, but I keep the mace on her for challenges and because it gets the job done.

Thunderstrike is my only mace worth keeping. Throw a superb rune on your asap The mace wrecks everything.

I typically see a .1% i.e 1/1000 end game purple ultimate weapon drop rate. That said, useful blues occur much more frequently. End game blues happen every week that I bother to purchase in.

It may be a good idea to save up gold once you have enough gear to do well at the difficulty level you play at. This way, if bioware does it the lazy way and just adds new items into store chests, you will not be trolled as hard as people who didn't save up their gold.

 

In ME3MP, new items added to chests could be removed from the loot pool by removing the DLC. People could decide which items to be allowed in the loot pool based upon which DLC's they currently had installed, or not installed.

I briefly caught a glimpse of RNG on my Threatening run today when she gave me a purple outline chest drop. Turned out it was a nice, but lowish level, dagger.

Sure is. I loved the books too but the TV show based on it was horrible.
