The TV show sucked because they took a book like that and tried to make it fit tv. which means they completely butchered and then entirely left the storyline they were supposed to be making.

One would think 44 episodes would be enough to at least scratch the surface, but no.
Sure I watched the show, at least the half of it I think.
They just made it a bit too mainstream'y akin Xena and Hercules and that stuff. Good stuff will sell even if it's not mainstream'y, just like.. Like.. Well, it'll sell being what it is instead of being a sell-out.

Thunderstrike is actually a really nice mace. You can add even more AP to it with add-ons for levels of ridiculous. I like running it on my Templar. I have a better one-handed axe, but I keep the mace on her for challenges and because it gets the job done.
Thunderstrike needs a buff.
It is a level 23 unique. Compare it to the other level 23 uniques in the game - Caliban, Red Birth, and Sulevin - and it is *by far* the worst among the group. Especially compared to the Caliban - I mean they are both level 23 unique one-handers - and Caliban is 2-3x better. It needs something else besides the chain lightning proc - like 25% critical chance.
It is a good weapon, but is more in-line with a level 19 unique than 23.

I briefly caught a glimpse of RNG on my Threatening run today when she gave me a purple outline chest drop. Turned out it was a nice, but lowish level, dagger.

I would definitely not be against a buff.
Unfortunately, I have none of those wonderful weapons you listed, so that makes Thunderstrike one of the best in my current inventory. *sigh*

I dropped close to 200,000 gold this weekend and got two useful items: March of the Everlasing shield and Blade of Red Birth (my first high end dagger after well over a million gold spent). I was going to save up for the DLC but I figure Neverwinter and enough other games are dropping in the very near future and they will likely replace DAMP, anyways.

Another victory chest, another Sundering.
Seems I am cursed to either recieve a Sundering, or a Slayer in those chests.

I'm saving up now in case of DLC though I am only at 33k or so. Don't think I'll buy another chest unless there are new items.

Can I have them? My last 2 upgrades have been slightly better versions of the Refined Hossberg Twainer. Annoying because I feel compelled to rune/equip the slightly better one for the 2-5 dps increase.

Refined Hossberg Twainer
Sundering
Slayer
Got them all, yet my chosen weapon is a gray Longbar Blade, because it's a sword. I can't really hit anything with those mauls and axes. Pretty sad.

Mauls I understand. It's really sort of silly to be a giant two-handed warrior and use your weapon to hit one enemy at a time.
Plus, you suddenly become the most inept at breaking pots.
But greataxes like Slayer? I feel like I'm just swinging it right through everyone around me. Much like the sword, to me.

I'm sorry i am tired and at quick glance thought this thread title was "a tale of large breasts". Funny how the male brain works.

Sure is. I loved the books too but the TV show based on it was horrible.
I tried watching the TV show but I couldn't keep going. It hurt too bad.

Opened up a few chests this weekend and managed to pull an upgraded Wicked Grace. The base dmg was slightly better. Still no CALIBAN!!!

Spent around 40K last night on these Large Chests.
My hopes were for a Sulevin, Superb Cooldown Necklace and a Long Shot Ring.
I pulled my second Longbow of the Griffon, but at least it has an extra point of damage over my current LotG.
I pulled my third Punch by the Maker
I pulled 2 or three Blue ability rings but still no Long Shot.
But, I did get my Purple Cooldown neck, so WOOT!

Getting a specific item you wanted? Blasphemy. Who or what did you sacrifice to the RNG gods?

Your hopes and tears. They are delicious to the pRNG. Also, teammates via Druffalo.
