Unfortunately, Biower is a small, independent studio with limited resources. I wouldn't expect a patch for this unless it gets the backing of someone like Microsoft, which will allow them to focus on it, with a time-based exclusive release as a consequence.

There are actual cheaters around that use cheatengine and gain infinite guard even on mages and godmode through games, gaining prestige at rates impossible to achieve without third party hacks.

 

Don't pay any mind to the cheaters or the leaderboard. It is completely cosmetic.

 

That said, have fun with your games and with other people. I am liking the Pillars of Eternity game by Obsidian for my Single Player old-school RPG itch. I have fun with DAMP when I can .

Excuse me for coming out as the resident noob, but what is this cheat/exploit/glitch in question? Also how did it ruin your session?

 

I'm always baffled by the lengths people go to just succeed at a game - especially a game like that. Assuming this happened on PC, but still - why?

The Elementalist can infinitely cast Fade Cloak. Makes them invulnerable and does a huge amount of damage over and over. 

 

The devs patched one version of it but I still see it around from time to time.

 

It's also incredibly annoying for anyone in the game because of that vibration/explosion that Fade Cloak does happening over and over and over again. 

 

 

Since they patched the first way to do it, I've only seen the new way done twice in Publics and both times the player was so incompetent they died anyway.

So this is what that is. I actually figured this was supposed to be a Passive I'd overlooked in the one full promotion I did with the Elementalist.

 

It's not like it's very far fetched balancing wise, given even I'm a decent mage player when equipped with the Arcane Warrior. (*coughs* I love you, legit AW enthusiasts. I don't mind not failing and my ego can take the 2nd place)

Even worse is getting kicked for playing Elementalist with firewall, barrier,immolate, and stonefist because the rest of the group assumed you were going to cheat. Yea, that was the last time I ran barrier on my Elementalist. As for cheaters, I avoid them. If I wanted to breeze through perilous I would just lazy arcane warrior.

You mean the pug AW that typically dies when joining my games? Granted he spirit blades, and that's all he does before getting on his knees and collapsing.

 

I'd welcome your ele... but I'd want you to ditch immolate and grab firestorm instead . . . and put a wall of fire ring on, because that skill is OP.

I'm just a mere scrub, trying to find my way through a forest of epeen ok?   I've never even opened up my Elementalist yet lol. I probably have <100 hrs in DAMP so far.

I haven't seen it, but aren't people stuck in place most of the time when they do this? Wouldn't it be pretty easy to charge ahead and leave them behind? Or troll them with aggro? I'm just spitballing, since I have no idea how this works.

I tried it. You're not stuck in place, but you move even slower than the normal walking animation. It also draws no aggro. The enemies will go after your teammates, or if soloing, the Inquisition Informant is likely going to die.

 

This isn't worth worrying about. Using this exploit earns less XP than grinding promotes on the AW, which is how all the leaderboarders I know on my platform get their willpower. I tried a few solos with both, and only got 14,000-18,000 with an Exploit Elementalist, while I averaged over 25,000 with a 'team' combo oriented AW.
