That may well be. I havent played Elite: Dangerous myself, yet, because I'm currently unemployed and can't afford anything.

But since I've played the original on the C64 already, I'm really looking forward to get my hands on it, once my financial situation improves.

I'm a fan of the genere anyways - I played the **** out of the X-Series (until the fiasko they did with X-Rebirth, that is...)

If Elite: Dangerous is only somewhat like the original of the old times, it has to be a blast.

You check their forum? It get's pretty funny on there, especially since the Xbox version was announced though the "the game will be horible now that it's going to be on Xbox" talk has gone down. Me personally I like that it'll be on Xbox since I can't afford to upgrade my PC's graphics. A $60 Xbox port is better than a $80 graphics card+$60 game to play it on PC.

I would be happy with BioWare trashing the monetizing MP rip-off they call ME3 MP for good. I've had the entire opposite experience while participating in it. Hosts of games more often than not will kick you from a lobby either because they don't like the class you are using or your setup. Hosts and other players will constantly leave matches in the middle of rounds, forcing players to have to start the entire round over with half a team or less (really annoying on Platinum). There is little to gain or achieve as you are merely participating in an endless grind to open up boxes that may give you weapons and classes. Matches are also obnoxiously long with little gain in galactic readiness and the gameplay is redundant, tedious, and boring after a few matches.

In conclusion, there is very little to like or enjoy about ME3 MP. The only positive takeaway is it allows you to play with friends. However, I'd prefer an actual true coop experience incorporated into the main game. If I wanted to play ME3 MP, I could easily play Gears of War Horde or Halo Firefight, which ME3 ripped off anyways and they are much better, more entertaining, and aren't monetized to be a ridiculous cash grab. BioWare, if you really care about many of your fans, make features that you are actually good at, such as story. We don't need another generic, cookie cutter MP just because every other AAA game in existence does it. That's not why I buy your games.
