This thing is the greatest thing in the world. The one thing I hated most about PC games is I couldn't use my controller. Xpadder allows me to map my keyboard keys to my xbox one controller. It allows you to assign section keys so you can tog between 1-8 so you have 8 sections with up to 24 button choices. I mapped three sections and have been playing SWTOR all day with my xbox one controller. The thing works great. If I wasn't playing with my laptop in my lap I would think I was playing a console game.

If your interested just google xpadder the site will come up.

I based my setup on this persons for SWTOR.  http://www.2old2play...oller-wait-what

Below is just some images of the interface used to program the controller.

Don't they make controllers specifically for PC's? Seems like it might be a little easier.

Yeah but if the games don't support controllers you would still need to do this to use it.  This is for games like SWTOR that don't have controller support.

Used something like that before I got an xinput controller.

But really, games that don't support xinput already... play pretty badly with a controller, regardless of how cleverly you keybind for them. Probably why they don't have xinput support.

Thank you for this. I've always wanted to get into pc gaming but couldn't get myself used to it because of the lack of controller use since I'm so used to my consoles by now, I think this might help me a bit. I'm at least gonna give it a try. Thank you.

I just have a USB dualshock and a Xbox 1 controller with a USB cable.

Granted I don't game on my computer much beyond older-gen console emulators, but the Xbox 1 being able to be plugged in was a nice surprise.

Racing games, etc. I also tend to think 3rd person action games work better with a controller than with KB&M. See: Dark Souls.

I think it's just nice for us console players Death, because we are so used to playing with a controller that it gets hard to getting the hang of playing with just a keyboard and a mouse, at least that's the case for me.

i see your point, but imo the controls are the main difference between consoles and PC while playing.

I understand, you mean that the whole point with playing on pc is that there is a huge difference between controls plus it's the different gamestyle. This of course make sense now that you say it, why else not just stay on console? Yeah... I kinda see your point... hmmm... I sometimes want it for the exclusives but that's about it I guess.

Yeah the only games I feel I'd need to use a controller on are mostly racing games tbh.

When I first switched to PC gaming 2 years ago, I wasn't fond of the whole keyboard & mouse deal at first, but back then I worked graves so I hardly got out of the house (when I'd get off work at 7am, I was usually tired and wanting to go home) thus I never got around to getting a controller to hook up to my PC. I was actually surprised how well I adapted to playing with mouse and keyboard after growing up on consoles like the Atari, NES and N64.

Nice program find though, when I finally get around to getting a controller with USB, then I plan on finally playing some of the racing games I have on Steam. I might end up using this program tbh.
