After the endgame, almost every originating member leaves him, he is left alone. Worst of all his love intrest can become Divine... After the endgame it sort of sucks to be Inquisitor, all of his friends leave  and the chantry want's him at its beck and call. :(

Hah, lucky you. My Inquisitor's love interest crushed her entire world, removed her vallaslin, dumped her, ran off, and ended up being a millennium-old elven demigod.

Such is life. :S

Which characters leave after the endgame? For me it was only Solas, since i stopped my divine leaving. I thought everyone else stayed... Maybe I'm wrong.

They stay for a short time (in game), but later in the story some bring in replacements, and then leave.

So you do feel bad for the Inquisitor then (I meant in general, I used my experience as an example)? Either way, most of the originating members seem to leave, Leliana will definitely leave, Cass generally will either leave to rebuild the Seekers, or become Divine, Varric goes back to Kirkwall (that's a no brainer) Josephine probably marries that Antivan lord, and goes back to look after the Montilyets, as you have already opined, Solas fled the scene etc.

Depends.

Kaz and Iron bull and together 5 ever since he basically has nothing else better to do anyway...

In the end, I guess Kaz can always kick it with the chargers if he needs company.

+I doubt Cassandra is leaving (his other BF)

+Vivienne said she'll stay for a while (his other BF too)

+Cole doesn't look like he's going anywhere special (not "best" friend, but fairly friendly)

Cass is not rebuilding the Seekers in your game? Viv will eventually leave.

Yeah. My Inquisitor is probably becoming an alcoholic at some point.

I'd say her best friends in the Inquisition are probably Dorian and Cole, one is staying for now, the other is probably sticking around for some time, so at least there's that. She's close to all three of her advisers too, but Cullen's the only one I see sticking around. Josephine had plans to go back to Antiva, and Leliana had plans to go find my Warden and rejoin her for good. Good on her.

So...when everyone else leaves her for somewhere else, Cole will probably still be kicking around. At least she'll have her little spirit bro, he has nowhere else to go. I think.

It sucked to begin with. It reminds me of Shepard and the Prothean artifact. Or Dalish Warden and the mirror.

Same here. Except she kept her vallaslin. So I guess, yes, I feel bad for my Inquisitor. Luckily, I think she is more optimistic than my warden.

I headcanon that my Inquisitor killed herself quietly after leaving the inquisition and closing the remaining rifts on her own. I don't think she'd have any reason to live, abandoned by everyone and Solas. Also, the very notion that the Inquisitiion still exists after the game(and it's been foreshadowed pretty heavily it may become another terrible organization of oppression and fear) and the Inquisitor can't do anything about it is a terrible weight, I think.

Bioware's complete lack of concern or respect for the friendship bonds we can forge in their games has long been a major bone to pick for me. It dates all the way back to Throne of Bhaal, the very first time they did epilogues, and it made me glad that I chose divinity then because nothing spoils the joy of victory faster and more thoroughly than every single "friend" my character ever made tripping over each other in their haste to drop her like a hot potato and scatter to the four winds. The same happens in Jade Empire, in Origins (which, again, made me glad that I had chosen the ultimate sacrifice) and now it's heavily implied that it will happen again to the Inquisitor. It's ... painful to think about.

Sure, not every companion can stick around forever. Everyone had a life before meeting us, some have strong ties or heavy duties elsewhere. But it would be good if at least some were happy to stay, and if the others didn't leave or talk about leaving before the big bad's corpse is even cold on the ground. It's a serious WTF-downer, and I just can't wrap my mind around why the writers think it's a good idea to put it in there over and over again. It also makes me increasingly less interested in future games because it feels like nothing I did matters and nobody ever actually gave a f*ck, and having that thrown in my face repeatedly is not a good way to motivate me to stick with a franchise.

Yeah, about the only thing that matters to me in their games is their characters.

Yeah, that's the main reason Iron Bull is my favorite romance.  If he leaves the qun (which is every playthrough minus my one time just to see what's on the other side of things) he stays with you even if just friends.

*Disclaimer I'm in a silly mood so please don't take offense*

Sera oddly enough stays with the inquisition too, which I am not sure how to feel about that one.  I sort of head cannon that eventually Sera will do something to annoy the inquisitor enough she has to be executed (or offends or kills the wrong person). -shrug-

Blackwall if you pardon him of his crimes will stay with you forever, and isn't that great!  I mean you can be bored to death slowly over the rest of your years.  You won't be able to die in battle to escape the fate either, cause he's the best tank ever pretty much.

Cole doesn't seem to be going anywhere as others have mentioned.  I was going to say something more, but I seem to have forgotten what it was...

Better play as a mage if you want to have a full party in the head cannon game later on.  I have no idea why all the mages flee for at the end, but they just don't have time for the Quizzy and all his/her garbage I guess.  Sad times.

Usually, that's what people say to me when I say my first playthrough was as a Dalish Inquisitor who romanced Solas. "Oh, I'm sorry."

I think it enriched the game in a way that other combinations wouldn't match.

I did a playthrough with a female Lavellan romancing Solas even knowing he would leave at the end but it was still quite the knife in the heart. Too bad she can't move on with someone else and then lord it over him in some future DLC...yes I am petty like that.

I actually felt worse for my male Qunari who romanced Cassandra though. She became divine so obviously he got dumped and he really has nothing to fall back onto. He's the eternal outsider, the big giant weirdo in a land where big giant weirdo's are extremely rare.

Bioware continued to screw over the Warden, and Hawke in this game as well, if the Warden romanced Morrigan, his "true love" losses her free will. If s/he was friends with, or romanced Alistair well, he gets left in the fade. Oh yes, and Hawke  can get left in the fade. Bioware: "previous PCs are trash for us to throw into the fade, we also mind control their wives and kill their friends." XD

Well, you could download the mod that lets you have multiple romances ;)

As for Qunari/Cass, you never know. She could do a repeat of that one Divine who had a relationship with one of the Knights-Divine.
