I think they said 28 month development time between games.

I'm thinking about 3 years. I think they're shooting for annual releases of some kind of BW game--which I like the idea of. Although, god only knows when ME is going to be out. So, i like the idea of staggered releases from BW, but ME seems to be dragging behind a bit.

I believe that ME4s release date will be announced at e3. Probably for an early 2016 release just like ME2/ME3

My bet is they've already started working on it.

Not development, obviously, which is still several months, if not over a year, away. But "what are our plans for DA4?" and "How can we use DAI and/or its DLC to set it up?"

That kinda thing. Bioware has done the same with DA2 and DAI, and (if memory serves) ME2 and ME3 as well. The fact that DAI was their most successful launch EVER guarantees a DA4 eventually.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

I will go with 4 years.   2015 DAI DLC,  2016 will be ME3, 2017 will be ME3 DLC, 2018 will be the new IP, and 2019 back to DA.

But ME3 is already out?

Hoping between three to four years.  Don't let it get Christmas Rushed like KOTOR2 and DA2.  Both had such potential ( I loved them both) but it was never realized.  The game needs time to be polished.  Also, finished.  With Mass Effect not far away, and that a good RGP should keep your attention for a good year (I played ME2 consistently from the time it was launched until ME3 launched...then played it again after the Trilogy came out because I got ME for the PS3).  Now, I have started to ease away from DAI (this is a personal issue with the DLC policy, NOT a reflection of the game) and gravitate back towards...um...ME2 and DA2 (Merrill and Tali are adorable).  So, I say, polish the game.  DON'T rush a new one for the financial guys.  THEY ruined the two games (at least, for Bioware...).  You need extra cash, do DLC.  Some may not like it, but done right it can extend the life of the game for quite a while.  Look at Borderlands 2.  Not perfect, but it kept a lot of going for quite a while.

DON'T mimic Evolve or DOA2.  Or anything by Capcom.  Full game, not chopped up story bits from main game.  We like you guys.  Not hard to keep it that we.  We're a pretty accepting crowd.  Except for Nazi Cannibal Venusians.  Hey, there ARE some lines you have to draw.

Venusians... :?

Mid 2018. If Bioware are aiming on releasing a game from one of their IPs yearly which is what they seem to be doing, then I can imagine 2016 is Mass Effect, 2017 is the new IP, then the next DA will be 2018. That's just my opinion however, but I feel since 3-4 years was the development period for DA:I and that was with them adopting, and modifying a new engine, I can imagine it taking about 3 years to make DA4.

Given that they will be using FB3 again and most of the systems are in place now, the development timeframe should be less than DAI. I'd expect it to be three years max before DA4 arrives.

Gaider left DA to work on it. I assume it's Star Wars related as EA owns sole rights to Star Wars games until like 2025 or something. I might be overstating how long they have them but it's awhile.

At any rate I've assumed since they got them BW would do a Star Wars rpg

It probably isn't Star Wars as holding the license to make games is different than developing and owning an IP.

I'm personally thinking five years. One to let ME4 come out & for its dlc to come out & four for actual development of the next Dragon Age. So around 2020.

...that's not how development works. The Dragon Age team doesn't take a year off while the Mass Effect team puts out content.

I'm going with no more than three years hence. I fail to see how introducing a new IP would give Bioware/EA Games enough confidence to delay a follow up for Inquisition later than 2018 in the wake of so many earned awards and the best franchise sales right out of the gate for this current game?

There is little doubt that some initial thoughts, early discussions, and nascent designs, etc. have already occurred in regards to DA. They've as much as said that we will be heading north to perhaps experience the Tevinter/Qunari conflict?

For me should that prove accurate and since Bodhan and Sandal did not feature in Halamshiral as we all had expected, plus given that Hawke may have encouraged Feynriel to explore his talents in Tevinter during the events in DA2, that gives us two powerful magic-based former npc's to have their back stories fleshed out and also tie the next game into established lore?

Time will tell!

It might depend on when the new IP is scheduled to debut. I could see the attraction for EA to have one BioWare title per fiscal year.

If they are like any other Gaming company, they have already begun on making another Dragon age. Although I would guess it would be mostly creating the story arc.  and concept art...

but all this would be held in secrete, untill they feel its right to allow us to know they have something fully in the works..

Probably still before Fallout 4.

Bloody Bethesda.
