it was an example. Yeah it was extreme but it wasn't hyperbole. It was an example that conveyed the ridiculousness of your devil-may-care attitude about the whole thing.

Just to point out as a reminder, this delay is ONLY for this first SP DLC. Any other DLC thereafter will NOT be under the Microsoft contract delay. Thank the Maker.
Do you have a source for this? Until it's confirmed, this is just speculation.
Right now, there's nothing to prove or disprove how future DLCs will be treated.

This kind of exclusivity doesn't even make any sense as a ploy to give Xbox One a market advantage, since it wasn't ever really publicized as far as I can recall. So what's the point? It's just pissing people off for no reason...

Your example was flawed, taken out of context it reads purely as "look on the bright side of things". Poor example, so I responded in kind.
Again, you're claiming I have a devil-may-care attitude because I'm not outraged. No, I'm not. I've been aware of this exclusivity deal for a long time, so I'm not outraged, I'm happy that it's not a year-long wait like Skyrim, or Destiny. I am frustrated by the practice, but more frustrated at the pieces in place that allow it to occur, rather than the individuals who take advantage of it.
I was also frustrated at third-party console exclusives, but I don't froth at the mouth over those either.

It sucks that we have to wait until May (and when in May, maybe the 31st?), but all told it isn't as bad as I feared it might be.
Heck, as a PS3 gamer then (PS4 now), we had to wait how long just to get Mass Effect 2 in the first place?

All of that is wrong. It wasn't flawed at all. And I don't see anywhere that I've been frothing at the mouth. Please stop using that describe my posts. It's stupidly inaccurate.

May?!
I'll be too busy playing The Witcher 3 in May to buy this DLC.
Bioware sure as hell didn't think that one through.

Kinda off topic but…..
does this mean that any potential DAMP DLC is going to be delayed by two months as well?
It seems that there was a lot of discussion about some of the new multiplayer characters last week, but BioWare had declined comment about them. If the JoH exclusive access bs is holding up new DAMP content I can't see the online portion of the game really doing well. I mean the game has been out for about five months now, and the multiplayer aspect has had nothing to show for it besides a slight tweak on the maps and animals being included in the spawn rotations.
ME 3's MP had brand new maps, weapons, equipment, and characters out in just one month after release.
Mark's exact comment was:
"stay tuned..."
Make of that what you will ![]()

Now those who own Xbox 360 would understand how we PC users feel. Sure we received the DLC since day 2 but the keyboard + mouse mess is still there hampering the gameplay. Neglecting fanbase for $$ is what is EA known for.

I'm pretty sure the E3 announcement specified that it was only the first SP DLC that would be on XBox One first (they neglected to mention PC was included in that). I'll try to go dig a link up somewhere; that info came from me watching the E3 livestream when it happened.

Won't be the 31st. DLC almost always releases on Tuesdays, so the latest would be May 26th, I believe.

They could put it out tomorrow and I wouldn't buy it. I've read enough reviews to be confident I'm not missing anything anyway. Looking forward to the next DLC, which will hopefully be packed with character-y goodness and won't be just another map full of fetch quests.

Here, I found it: http://www.eurogamer...t-first-on-xbox
"UPDATE: Microsoft has clarified that the exclusive content will be the first single-player add-on for Dragon Age: Inquisition. This will arrive first on Xbox (360 and One)."
However, they were obviously wrong about XBox 360 being included in that, so... well... hmmm...

Not saying that as approval of the practice, by the way (my feelings are quite the opposite of approval). I'm a PS4 player suffering like my brethren. I do have to say I remain shocked XBox 360 got lumped into the "misfits" that have to wait, though. Way to eat your own and long-lived customers and to punish them for not buying your newest console, Microsoft.
Weren't they already punishing their customers with other games as well by choosing to delay them for the Xbox 360 just so Xbox One sales of those particular games could increase due to the number of people still on Xbox 360 which could adversely affect the number of sales on the Xbox One?

Your first post contained 6 exclamation points in the first 3 sentences, and included the line "I am almost....suffering from second hand rage simply for owning a PS4 as well.".
I figured frothing at the mouth was pretty accurate. Then you made the blanket "BW apologist statement", then lead into your "extreme" example, then got on my case for hyperbole, and insinuating that your statement was hypocritical (which it kind of is, but so am I).

Mmmm, true. I didn't really think about it that way. To be honest, I don't follow Microsoft and XBox news nearly as much as Playstation news. Even though I have a 360, I only fire it up every now and then to scratch my Titanfall itch (which, point taken, its release on that platform was delayed to pump One says). For the most part, I'm a Playstation fan so that's more what I consider as my "homebase" and, therefore, I tend to filter out unaffiliated news.
Hence, I didn't really think about the screwing 360 owners have gotten until the DAI DLC came up. Especially since E3 seemed to indicate both XBox platforms would get the DLC first, and then there was an about-face on that when it actually released (with PC replacing the 360 as far as DLC privileges). To be honest, if I had gotten this game on my 360, I would be absolutely furious to have thought I would get access to the DLC first only to find out the day of release that, nope, the E3 news was either bad or changed. As a PS4 owner, I don't like it, but I'm not enraged because I knew a year ago this was going to be the case.

Yes same here, doesn't look like Bioware/EA thought that through very well. Especially as Witcher is going to have a load of free dlc on release too.

Oh I am angry at EA. And I hope the devs are as mad as I am, just bound by NDAs and such from saying so.
But I still feel justified in making my displeasure known here.
