A delay is ok with me on the ps4. Loving Bloodborne, so not having to decide between which to play....and I am gonna support the DLC. Loved the game, and make no pretenses about it

Just wondering whether to purchase this or not, $20 seems a bit excessive, can anyone shed some light on length and quality of the content? I know you can get tier 4 gear so that's fairly enticing. But is the story good?

Asking if the story is good is like asking a nation to find a good leader, everyone will have their own idea and nobody will agree with the other.

 

It is best to make that decision yourself.

 

That said, I did like the dlc, a lot.

Ugh, obviously I wasn't looking for a yes or no answer when I posted that, perhaps I should have been more specific. When I asked if the story was good I was hoping people would give reasons as to why. ie- quality, quantity, relevance to the main plot, character interactions, gear efficiency etc...

 

So saying that you simply liked the dlc, a lot. Doesn't give me much to go on. Care to elaborate?

Hmmmm..

• I like to explore, so there was a ton of neat Easter eggs to find
• The new T4 armor/weapons are pretty cool
• I thought the main quest through the area was pretty satisfying
• Tons of codex info
• Harding
• Fights were actually very challenging (I played it on Nightmare)
• Finding out who the last Quizzy was.
• Harding ... did I already say that?

I can't really go into any more detail without spoilers being posted, and this isnt the place for them.

Well, more Harding is a plus.  Hard to go wrong there...

I was a bit lukewarm on DAI, but I did finish it on nightmare and spend a lot of hours playing it.

 

I thought Jaws of Hakkon was my favourite bit. Nice level. Interlocking quests. Difficult. Interesting content.

I do believe they used some assets from the demo. Saying more would probably be a spoiler of sorts.

I believe it was mentioned that that content was cut because the PS3 and Xbox 360 couldn't handle it. I doubt any amount of money is going to bring it back.

I agree - it's anti consumer to delay the release of a product for select customers. The best way I can think of to voice my opinion is with my buying decisions. I wont be purchasing this DLC.

 

If Microsoft wanted to provide an advantage to its supporters, they should have made an agreement to provide Xbox owners with the content for free. EA gets its money, Microsoft gets to advertise that it has free content.

What irks me the  most is that in another 1 or  2 years we will be up in arms about this subject again it wouldn't surprise me if we here a whole load of dickish exclusivity deals come E3 cos lets face E3 seems tailor made for that sort news and games industry as a whole learns  very slowly and  Is afraid of change like a  UKIP Voter

As a PS4 owner who actually liked the game itself, I'm not supporting this exclusivity crap. I won't be buying this no matter how much I want to. Also, it's a horrible marketing decision to release it so close to Witcher 3.

Console exclusives are also anti-consumer but I don't see people complain about those.

... Bloodborne, Uncharted, Last of Us, God of War, inFAMOUS, Resistance (RIP) are all owned by Sony. It would be pure stupidity for them to release their unique products to someone else. Using your logic and extrapolating a bit we could say that the Wii motion sensor when it came out was anti-consumer because Nintendo didn't market it to other consoles/PC. With Timed exclusives they are paying a company to withhold a product from certain consumers for a time.

 

And before anyone comes in screaming I'm a butthurt fanboy, I honestly don't care enough. The hype for the DLC has worn off and I may or may not buy it when it comes out.

It wouldn't surprise me if there was with MEN at least. I'm hoping its just for dlc and not full game

This whole experience have been very upsetting, I would expect Dragon Age developers to hold their fan at a higher level but instead I get potatoes. I'm a proud PS4 gamer and this exclusive BS is disappointing I will pass on this DLC.
