I'm disappointed. Especially since they just said...May. See, I'm kinda betting that a LOT of customers are of the age where...hmmm...wait, that's about when Summer starts. ANY age is going to be affected. High School students just graduated (possibly the same as college), or are out for the summer. Sun, fun...vacations. Dating, movies...sure, gaming, but limited funds. College students? Same deal. Adults? Bills, maybe if they have kids, there will be vacations...just a bad time to hit. End of May? Anyone know of any movies, or A list titles releasing about then? Just seems like a really bad time to release a bit of DLC.
I mean, yeah, I should be thrilled we are getting it, but I really feel that PlayStation and 360 users were barely an afterthought by corporate. This dropped from yeah, I'll get it. It's now, wait and see. If ALL the DLC is going to be like this...I may actually pass. Really. Leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. I'm in no big rush. Plus, the way Dragon Age Keep works...you wait long enough, and you'll just be able to select the choices for the next game anyway. Black Emporium catches my attention...but Jaws? Not so much. Borderlands just arrived. Considering all the content it has, and how long it takes me to get through it (I'm a horrible FPS player. Seriously, I suck), I may not even notice it being released.
Again, I really like Dragon Age. DAII was my first foray into the series. I really liked it. Then, I stopped by the boards here, and after reading the comments, I picked up DAO. Played thorough it, then Awakening, just to see how DAII changed. Same with Mass Effect. Tons of wasted hours. Had a blast. However, I never felt that EA was denying PlayStation gamers just because we had a Sony console. Not till now. In fact, I think that hearing that they are shafting 360 users as well just twists it. It's like openly humiliating your little brother because he isn't tall enough to go on the roller coaster. Yeah, some do it, but it's still scummy.
Maybe I'm just bitter. Or tired. No, I AM tired, but we'll see. You know what...maybe Bioware will come out around the release, remind us all that we are ALL valued customers (I'd say EA...but seriously? EA? Treat customers like they are people? Uh huh...right), and just...you know, make us feel like ONE big community...not segregate us into labels and groups. We dropped that crap in High School, didn't we?
We'll see. Rant over.
