I think it's perfectly reasonable. Then again, I look at the Xbox One DLC as a early release sort of perk and not as an unforgivable injustice shoved down all other players' throats.

I'm on ps4 mate but I'm gutted because I won't get to play this now....we all know a very big rpg is out in may
Ironically the witcher3 is gonna have free dlc and no timed exclusive content
This what bioware/ea/Microsoft is doing makes me very sad as a BioWare fan

I don't know. I don't think it would've been out this week. Wouldn't have been much of an exclusive deal with MS if it were only a week's difference.  Then again I thought it would've been at the end of April rather than "sometime in May".  Hopefully that means the beginning of May.

So, basically 1-2 months from now, depending when in May.

 

I'm still irritated about the whole situation, but it could be worse.

 

I'll buy the DLC, but I'm not as excited about it as I would have been, and by that point I'm pretty sure we'll all have been hit with spoilers for it whether we wanted to or not, so I don't expect many surprises left.

 

This marketing strategy... ugh. I hope that Bioware has realized what a hit their customer morale has taken among certain segments of their player base. Personally, I definitely don't feel like a valued customer anymore.

I've played and enjoyed the dlc already on xbox one, but I have to be honest when I say it just does not feel right to me that this is timed exclusive.

 

Ofc, it's not the end of the world and all that, but....timed dlc. I could see a main game/IP, but dlc is something that should be available at the same time for everyone that bought the initial game.

 

I can't really explain it, but it just doesn't sit right with me. I hope they don't do this again. "Support" for the launching of it, or no. I appreciate the perk as an xbox one owner, but it feels fundamentally unfair to others that have also invested their time and money into the game, and were looking fwd to dlc, too.

Sony just did it with destiny. Locking off parts of the game & parts of all of its dlc as exclusives for ps4 for a full year. For me, that's much more unforgivable than what Microsoft did. PS4 players only have to wait one month to get this dlc where I have to wait a full year just to get content that should of been in the game/dlc to begin with.

Exactly! This is a practice that is hurting everyone on every platform. I'm hoping that people will eventually stop buying games based off of what dlc they will get from it & decentivise companies from continuing this.
