Hmmmm.... I have a Jugg and I hear a lot of arguing about how to play a jug, anyone have a good crash course on making an indestructible jugg?
If I am going to tank, I better tank CORRECTLY

If you're just tanking, you're doing it wrong. Shooting is always more efficient than meleeing. So, grab a Spitfire and go to town.

Step 1: Bring infinite ammo weapon
Step 2: Only use melee when you absolutely need shields
Step 3: Play as aggressively as you possibly can while not being able to sprint
That's basically what I do.
Alternatively, play Krogan Vanguard and headbutt EVERYTHING.

Is that a trolling set? it looks REALLY squishy

No, that is a serious set that I played whenever I could actively bring myself to play a Juggernaut.

I just need something that I can solidly hold off heavy bosses so that my buddies that play furies and valkyries a lot can oblitterate...

Unlike most, I spec the Siege Pulse for offensive use. Still use it sparingly, mind you, but it actually does a very decent damage against armor, plus it seems to stagger pretty reliably. Put Incendiary ammo on the gun and have a bonus fire explosion on top of it.
As limb mentioned, keep moving. A jugg that's standing at one place is a dead jugg. Use heavy melee with caution and only to restore yourself some shields. Don't go around force chocking everything... you have a gun. Use it. Unless we're talking phantom or hunter... then it's your right, nay, your duty to prolong their suffering for as long as possible.
On that notice, GPS works really well on him. Primes reliably, staggers, lore friendly.
Don't be afraid to draw aggro... you can take a lot of fire. That said, know what you're doing. Plan your escape route. Learn to walk backwards and shoot. For a jugg, that's especially useful advice.
And start going for EZ at about 90 seconds mark ![]()

I'm going to go contrarian and risk my BSN reputation to say that a melee-oriented Juggernaut on Platinum is a totally reasonable thing to do. Yes it teaches you bad habits, yes it's boring, but by God those Platinum credits aren't going to farm themselves. Find yourself an Asari Justicar, a Vorcha or Geth Flamer, and someone else, and stand in that spot near the LZ on Giant and go to town.

I put the GPS (Geth Plasma Shotgun) on him because it's fairly easy to get, does good damage, can be used at both close and long range, and staggers. But get used to holding B. Pulse it (light melee) to stagger back the Phantoms.
Put the Turret nearby, but ideally in cover, so it restores your shields and occasionally flames things.
Do not block your teammates with Hex Shield. It's just for emergencies.
Your worst enemies are not the Banshees and Praetorians that give others fits -- your worst enemies are the hard-hitting mid- to long-range guys like Ravagers and Pyros. So tell your team to focus on those while you hold the Banshees.

Alright an actual build that can handle the vast number of plat bosses without getting overrun during say, escorts (I call my Jugg Arnold BTW)

Just keep moving, and play as aggressive as you can. This is also a SP spam build (to be used on host),but only use that on mooks,as bosses will take ammo priming, then SP detonate. And don't forget to use your shield when things get too thick.
This is how I do it on host.
For Plat, swap the omni capacitor and power amp to cyclonic 4 and armored compartments.

Use a good dps weapon, preferably with lots of ammo for eg the PPR or CSR although I was recommended the incendiary reegar for max cheese. Use thermal clip packs when ammo is too far away and make sure to top up ammo in between waves.
Electric shield basically gives you a portable right hand advantage anywhere you want with good cqc due to the electric effect.
Siege pulse gives you damage reduction and is also used to detonate combos.
Turret can be used for priming and as a back up shield regen for you or for any teammates in a tight spot. Skip it if you wish as you can use ammo for priming and you're tanky enough as is.
Now for actual gameplay, shoot whenever you can, use Sp to detonate combos and to finish up after. Light melee to stun enemies. For phantoms, use heavy melee only to make her ragdoll and fall down where she is helpless and then clean up.
Lastly you're not the Terminator so be aware of your flanks and your aggro and keep an eye out on you're escape route.

Use Alistair. Sten doesn't start with shield talents and his Constitution is kind of low.
Use Shale when you get her, she's even better.
...wait, wrong game.

Arcane Warrior/Spirit Healer Warden tank or, in true hipster style, rogue Ranger tank.
I always did like being an oddity of a tank.... In WoW I mastered the art of warlock tanking... SWTOR, I preferred the assassin.... I for a while even tried justicar tanking XD.... I just always have had trouble with traditional tanks.... and half the time, the traditional way works waaay better
