Crusty the Hearth Orlan Chanter. Focusing primarily on PER, INT and RES, with a little boost to CON at the expense of MIG and DEX. Something like 8/12/8/20/15/15, or whatever floats your boat if that's too munchkin. But that kind of distribution.
Wielding a Pike as a primary, and a Sabre/Shield as secondary set, he's decked out in the heaviest, thickest armour you can find. Primary role is as support, the Pike allows him to be placed directly behind your melee characters. Plus the Hearth Orlan background means that he'll be getting more Crits than usual if he supports your tank(s). He can be manuevered easily to block and catch foes who try to engage your ranged characters. He also works as an impromptu tank, the massive Perception/Deflection bonus means he rarely gets hit and the early levels will have you using Summons to take the pressure off him if necessary.
Beyond that, his position and INT bonus means that his buffs reach both your ranged and melee lines, along with frontline enemies if you choose to go with debuffs. Plus he can summon Skeletons or a Phantom too. Phantom for Damage output + stun, Skeletons for flanking bonus + interrupt.
It's basically what I'm using for my main game now, though the stat distribution isn't as lopsided.
From a roleplaying perspective, it basically encapsulates my BSN name and personality.
"Chanters are storytellers and repositories of ancient lore from myriad cultural traditions."
My Let's Plays mostly feature classic games or games with older mechanics.
Doesn't like to instigate conflict, but is decked out in a shiny breastplate with the ability to defend himself if necessary. Plus is a racial minority. Essentially, a Knight of Colour.
