I would like to make A dragon rune and I need 6 poison Wyvern glands any tips ?

Hissing Wastes. From the starting camp at the bottom - head west. Before you enter the Burial ground region.. there are four scattered, possibly more than that. I killed them all and exited the map to Skyhold then reentered to kill them over again.

If you go to the Golden Oasis (I think that was its name?), you don't even need to leave the map. They'll respawn as you walk around the oasis. Make a few quick rounds and you'll be completely decked out in Superb Dragon-Slaying Runes.

Talk to one of the hunters in the Hissing Wastes, they'll mention a "great beast" who lives in the oasis. That will give you a quest to slay it, which will mark the oasis on your map. Once you kill the big guy, he won't respawn, so you can just focus on killing wyverns.

That's actually better. I was level 13, farming glands and scales for my schematic so I didn't stick there long, but I will return and try that later for future farming and map completion.

Was I imagining it, or did the normal wyverns respawn more often and/or there were more of them altogether, when I left the "great beast" alive and didn't touch any of the treasures in the middle? If you stay on the far edge of the circular canyon, away from the big guy, he doesn't aggro.

Wyverns also spawn in Crestwood close to where the Northern Hunter dragon lives as well as south of Wyvern's Watch (where the druffalos roam). I ran into something like six of them last night, though not all of them dropped poison glands.

That location in Hissing Wastes is nuts.  You can't kill fast enough to have the area clear.

They are also found near the Dragon Spawn in Exalted Plains.
