Enemies are much tougher after update?

Is it just me or is the common enemies are a lot more stronger and do much more damage than before the update?  Especially Archers.

 

And I noticed that the archer characters (Archer, Hunter) are pretty much killing everything.  I played a couple of Threaten difficulty and I barely killed like 20 in all 5 waves.  And I died a lot.  I think the Templar has been tone down by a big deal.

the archer has always been able to completely destroy threatening. if you have a capable archer with an endgame bow in threatening just sit back and relax cause he's gonna destroy everything. always been able to do this too, pre and post patch.

People do say the archers hit harder than before, but I've noticed no difference. If anything, maybe the contrary.

Ok...  Maybe I suck real back.  I am rank 386 right now, not great but not bad.  I think I am going to pass on this multiplayer.  I can't catch up with you guys.

Rank is meaningless. Just play till you get bored of doing 1-20 on all characters...then move on.

Ok...  Maybe I suck real back.  I am rank 386 right now, not great but not bad.  I think I am going to pass on this multiplayer.  I can't catch up with you guys.

I dunno, man. If all you're after is a place on the leaderboard it's going to take some serious grinding of challenges and promotions. If all you're after is having fun killing some time, then just play...which is what I do. I've got some points now but that wasn't always the case.

I've definitely noticed this, I was playing mt Katari on threatening the other day at level 19, I have the superb health belt on with 30 odd constitution promotions (works out at like 1300 hp) with full guard up and 1 red templar archer used that run away full draw attack and left me with red health. On threatening for christ sakes.

I also noticed that Theatening has become somewhat more... threatning; but I wouldn't say it's the enemy archers per se. I feel like there's way more enemies than before, even though I know they merely altered the spawn patterns, not the amount.

 

I noticed this when I was playing a usual duo run with a friend, we were basically staying at the bridge part at the very beginning of the "Destroyed Chateau" PR's 3rd stage, and they just kept running at us & getting shot until we heard the key drop. We hadn't even left the very first room of the stage o0

A few days ago I got 1-shotted by an archer with their basic attack. I was playing the Hunter at the time and I saw the damage was around 1600 so I didnt stand a chance

I'm fairly certain there are more enemies, I used to get around 120 kills on a solo run, now I get around 160.  It's especially apparent in earlier waves where when you used to pull groups only a few enemy reinforcements would come, now I see anywhere from seven to a dozen reinforcements per pull.

Threatening, I was a lvl20 with full health at the time

This is very true, I play a lot, but it would take me maybe promoting all 12 classes 5 times over to hit the bottom of the leaderboard.

The game is fun for me, but if I knuckled down to that level of grinding it certainly wouldn't be to me and each match would become a chore to get through.

There are more enemies since patch 6. This is undeniable (just solo Routine or Threatening and count the kills at the end) despite what Bioware has said.

 

Enemy archers have always hit hard, especially when they do their run-away-then-turn-around-and-shoot-you. This has been one shotting people since day 1.

I don't think it's so much that they've buffed the enemies, just added a lot more of them so you have to prioritize which enemies to go after. Before you could ignore the archers and ranged units while clearing out the melee characters but now if you do that you'll be turned into a dwarf/elf/human/qunari sized pincushion.

I don't think it's so much that they've buffed the enemies, just added a lot more of them so you have to prioritize which enemies to go after. There must be a bug or something because that doesn't explain getting hit for 1k+ from one archer unit.

Full draw or that weird glitchy evade shot thing they used to do that 1 shotted everyone.

Since I haven't had that I can't tell, but today on my Sin I got some archers coming in on me. What happened was I stealthed behind them (was soloing threatening) and Twin Fanged one and instantly popped back to stealth cause I was never there.

As usual they got a sight of me and 4-5 archers did full draw on me at the same time.

 

So, could it be you guys have had multiple archers on you rather than just one?

I don't know if full draw is the problem. Like you said, it is that step back shot that they use in melee range...it does hundreds if not a thousand damage. It is obnoxious, because you are going to get hit by it, and it is so freaking strong.
