I don't think we even need DLC with the massive amount of communication we are getting from the devs these days.
re: DLC support. Today, in ME3's timeframe, "Earth" was released

Please refer back to OP, even if the team on DAMP stays longer to support it that doesn't mean we'll be getting anywhere near the content ME3MP got. "Support" is such a vague term, it could mean anything. Content release so far doesn't give us much hope, and I'm not even going to start on dev interaction.
I think I detect a hint of sarcasm in his post.

Well with the dragon slayer DLC we've found mention of being released at some point in the future it sounds like they’re supporting DAMP through new game modes rather than maps and characters. Creating new game modes takes a lot longer than a few bog standard maps and characters. You're essentially having to start from scratch or having to take a mechanic that works fine in SP and somehow make it work in a multiplayer environment where you have to contend with lag, players not communicating, different character setups etc. Not to mention we don't know what other stuff they're working on for DAMP, for all we know they could be overhauling certain systems like the loot system since people have been complaining about that since day 1 and that is not an easy or quick thing to do.

What I was saying has clearly gone over your head - adding a few anaimals and a whole host of bugs and issues is not what I would consider acceptable DLC. Also I like how you edited your posts after you were called out...You do realise someone has quoted your original post though right?
I did get the notification yes.
I didnt say it was acceptable DLC. Honestly I don't know why I posted, I don't even care about the multiplayer *shrugs*

Where has new game modes been mentioned?
It hasn't been mentioned per se and we're still waiting on an official annoucement afterall, it's more an assumption on my part and others. The maps we have at the moment simply do not lend themselves well to dragon hunting/combat, too cramped and too much cover to hide behind which to me screams new game mode.

Don't get your hopes up. I'm expecting random dragon placement in open areas of the maps we already have. If we're lucky, we'll get a few new characters, a new map or a dragon-worshipping faction with a dragon boss. I'll buy a hat and eat it if it brings a new game mode.
Also, a wall you can stand behind isn't cover, it's a wall you can stand behind. They could have used a form of cheap-out enemy chance to hit reduction when you're at a vantage point or behind short walls/fences. Basically a square on the floor behind cover which gives you a buff when you face a certain direction. But no, if you can attack the enemy, they can attack you.
Should probably be grateful. Imagine the bugs. "Fixed an issue where druffalo spawned with the chance to hit reduction buff".

It's all in the signs! MEMP got 3 DLC in 5 month, DAMP got 1 in same time, it means DAMP will be supported for 3 times as long!
It's nice to see some positivity in this thread. We really need more of this.
Do you really want a whole bunch of new characters and maps, when you've clearly not had the chance to master the ones provided at launch? DAIMPs multiplayer characters have far more depth and complexity than any of ME3MPs, and the developers want to ensure you are fully able to experience them before new ones are introduced.
(Also, please refrain from using DAMP. The developers have clearly stated their wish for it to be referred to as DAIMP and your non-compliance is threatening.)

A BioWare representative confirmed that they would "support [Dragon Age: Inquisition's] multiplayer far beyond Mass Effect 3," adding that "they have a lot of content planned for Dragon Age for months on end."
I bet this idea is revised. With absolutely nothing to back it up, I have a feeling that this mp is far less profitable so far than the ME3MP nice surprise of being very successful for BiowAreEA. They will not continue this support if the cash is not there.

It would be so easy to make platinum worth buying.
It's too late for DAMP for me now. I might get on with a friend once a month. But between Bloodbourne, Borderlands Handsome Collection, my backlog of games in general, and te Witcher on the horizon, I doubt I will ever come back.
Which makes me a sad panda. This MP could have been even bigger than ME3MP. They just screwed it up so bad it's un-savable.
We can place the blame anywhere but facts are facts. DAMP is officially a "coulda, shoulda, woulda" game.

mmmm. blue (or any colour for that matter) alien space chicks. Brings the Capt Kirk out of me every time. Oh, and since EDI from ME3, add hot sexbots to that list. "If I were a digital..." ![]()

Meh, they've given up. I'm almost glad, maybe they can finally stop lying and making bad games.
It's honestly been over after origins. Those guys that left WERE bioware.

Yeah, I think this is pretty much what it's going to be - a random placed dragon and 3 new characters.

Actually there seems to be a new game mode mission in the patch 6 files.

Event suggests a mission in the existing game like protecting the Inquisition informant so I doubt it will be a new game mode
After poking through the files again you're probably correct. But at least it's something new.

Just hoping the 3 new character count is not the final when this dlc finally drops especially if it drops around or after Witcher release. We're already 24 characters behind ME3 in comparison.
