Aeonar: The mage prison, located on an island in the Waking Sea, I think. What has happened to it in the wake of the mage rebellion? Maybe one of its worst inmates have taken control and now have nefarious plans, or the Knight Commander has turned the entire island into a battleground with the Mages? Who knows, I feel like there're plenty of interesting directions they could take this.

As long as it has a story that works through the entire DLC I am not too picky on what is offered story wise. I think for me that is what bugged me the most about a lot of the areas in the base game is that several zones didn't feel like they had a cohesive story through the entire zone.

Hakkon works well.

Heimdall, that's a really interesting idea. As for me, I'm still stuck at the information I found out about the Executors, wondering what this all is about haha. I'll be disappointed if it's just a PR trick by Varric to promote his novels! ![]()
Still, since I know they said that in WoT vol.2 they'd explore lands beyond Thedas, I do wonder if that actually would increase the possibility of getting a standalone DAI dlc. There'd definitely been some material and ideas to do it!
I also did like the JoH, how they had a little plot supposedly tied to DAI events, and secondly a more stand-alone thingy with the Avvars. In fact I wouldn't mind this duality at all in the future DLCs.

Every area has a small "plot" dealing with a specific matter. My overall view is that they are mostly quite interesting, having connection to the main theme, but at the same time making each area at least a little bit standalone as well.Since the areas are bigger than in previous games, cohesiveness takes different forms.

Restricting wolf hunt, warden follow up and coronation suggestions does limit this discussion, but so be it. For me, no matter what the overall content featured within, what I really want Bioware to do is widen their scope into greater Thedas and take us to Antiva, Rivain, the Anderfels and Seheron.

I agree, the problem I had is if you completed the small plot in the area everything else feels like it isn't nearly as cohesive and I do agree the bigger an area gets the harder it gets to be. Of course I can only speak for myself.

I would love to see a Serault based dlc, after playing the Last Court I have a special placed for my marquis and all Serault denizens, and you could easily tied up a story mission with the Searult war table missions, if you have played the game there is lots of potential in this and could have some ties up to what is beyond the west just as Serault is the most western city in Thedas

The problem is, when I've asked this question before, all everyone wanted to talk about was the wardens or wolf hunt. Here, what I'm really asking is what new adventure would like to send your Inquisitor on? What unexplored corner of the lore would you like to see?Restricting wolf hunt, warden follow up and coronation suggestions does limit this discussion, but so be it. For me, no matter what the overall content featured within, what I really want Bioware to do is widen their scope into greater Thedas and take us to Antiva, Rivain, the Anderfels and Seheron.

That would be a bit tricky, considering that Serault is variable, but I would like to see it involved.I would love to see a Serault based dlc, after playing the Last Court I have a special placed for my marquis and all Serault denizens, and you could easily tied up a story mission with the Searult war table missions, if you have played the game there is lots of potential in this and could have some ties up to what is beyond the west just as Serault is the most western city in Thedas

Something located in Orlais with an orlesian town.
We didn't see much of Val Royeaux , same with Halamshiral and the town in L'Emprise du Lion was a ruin.
If we're getting out of Orlais and Ferelden in the future , would be nice to see some civilization in Orlais.
Maybe some political plot with of course some evil magic going on .
It would be nice to have a call back to Jeshavis the women who unified Orlais with intrigue and weddings, Celene and co are rather weak sauce compared to her.

I very much like your idea for an Aeonar DLC, Heimdall. Personally, I'd really like something involving another one of Flemeth's daughters but I'm itching for the chance to explore beyond the Korcari Wilds or the Hunterhorn Mountains. Perhaps as a gesture of their newfound friendship, the Fereldan and Orlesian monarchs could fund a joint expedition?

I'm actually surprised the mage prison wasn't part of the game. That would be one of the places where the chaos is could be the greatest, couldn't it? Who knows what kind of mages are there.
There could've even been a Lily cameo.

A mere DLC wouldn't do Tevinter Imperium's glory justice, and it will only diminish its glory. Tevinter Imperium deserve it own game.

Although I got horribly confused by the quest at the Winter Palace, I'd still suggest a DLC in a smaller space (not necessarily a palace, but maybe a town?) than full-blown outdoor exploration. It'd be a bit of a change. Big story, smaller enclosure.
Maybe dive into Skyhold's history? Someone is doing renovations, excavations, whatever, and we find a tunnel. Get to know who were the previous inhabitants, why they had to leave, what's up with the enchantments, etc.
It always bugged me that Solas tells us to scout to the North after Haven is attacked, and then presents us Skyhold. How did he know all this? I would have liked to have had at least a ten-second conversation to ask, "How'd you know we should head North? How'd you know there be a big castle named Skyhold? How do you know it was called Skyhold?" He'd probably answer that he found it in the fade or whatever, but at least it would have been something.

I'd like to see this as well, even though I also ran around the Winter Palace like a confused gorilla.
