After finishing the main game and playing Jaws of Hakkon I cannot gain any new experience point (I am stuck at 126189, no matter what I do) and, although I still gain influence points I cannot exchange them for inquisition perks:

So, please, Bioware, in the new DLC either remove level caps or at least put them higher so I can gain experience again from the quests in that DLC!  :)

They should at least allow you to use that XP to level up to 28. In Origins the cap had you level up before it stopped counting XP. This just has those points sit there and do nothing, except taunt you.

So the max level is 27?Really?Well and here I'm planning points until level 30...They SHOULD change this for the next DLC...

There are lvl 30 enemies and you cannot level to match them? Friggin weird.

The top level is 27. After getting level 27 you get no message about getting more experience points, though you can see the bar gping up. But once you've got those 126189 points it stays like that, no matter what you do ...

I don't know if it is better or not to what happens with the influence points: once you reach level 20 you don't get the message about getting more influence but you can see the bar going up and up, now I have 54,145 and only 20,000 are "required" to reach the next level, i.e. I have an excess of 34,145 influence points

That makes me think that the extra influence points are not lost and that if the level cap is removed I could get 2 or 3 inquisition perks at once. But I am afraid I am losing all the extra experience points as they are not shown on screen   :(

Having to be level 20 just to start the DLC is stupid anyway.

You don't have to be level 20. That's just the recommended level because all the enemies start out at level 20.

Yeah, except it's pretty much required.  I try entering that place at any level short of 17 or even 18 and I get destroyed.

And that fact that the game presents level-appropriate challenge is bad because...?

So you enter an area under-level and get rekt

That's stupid because.....

Actually I started Jaws of Hakkon with a level 17 Inquisitor rogue and the rest of the party at level 16. It is doable. It requires picking your battles, making use of terrain. and elevation. For example attacking the enemy from bridges with an archer or archers while the rest of the party holds. The enemy usually cannot reach the party and your melee people will not be able to engage the enemy. Or establishing one of the treetop camps and attacking the enemy below from a position of elevation.

Also running is a valid option when in trouble. The rest of the party will follow even if dead.

Deal death from range with archers and/or mages. Sacrifice the melee fighters to keep the enemy away from the archers and mages. Make sure that you control one of the archers or mages. Have that character keep distance in case the party must run.

I began Jaws of Hakkon with Alexandra at level 25, after finishing the main game, so for me it would have been boring going to a place where all enemies were only level 10.

I think level 20 is fine considering that after going to all other places you'd probably be level 20 already. But for the next DLC the minimum level should be higher or there will be a lot of people that will consider it boring,  and thus the level cap should be either removed or increased  ;)

That sucks, I thought it'd be more like 30, and just get increasingly grindy to get there, to the point where you pretty much (but not ENTIRELY) need DLC.

There's not supposed to be a hard cap at all, so it should definitely be removed.

It's already too easy to level (especially since you can glitch XP scaling by save/loading near enemies), so it's not like hitting the cap requires some extreme effort.

DevSin, Even without that glitch (which I didn't know about as the game doesn't allow me to save near enemies  :D ), if you finish all the quests and almost all side quests in the main game and in Jaws of Hakkon DLC you will get level 27.

When you say that there shouldn't be a level cap are you saying that the actual cap is a bug? Then it may be removed in Patch 7

I even told 4 days after the game was released that the cap is level 27 and nobody believed me and now you are all surprised imagine if we had this talk months ago maybe we will have had a bigger cap.
