*SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED INQUISITION*

So before the ending of Inquisition the only people who can enter the priesthood of the Chantry are Human Women. Men can only be ordained as 'Brothers' while non-humans are not allowed to enter the chantry at all. The highest rank a man can have is Grand Chancellor which apparently isn't that high compared to most of the grand clerics. However after the epilogue, the Chantry can go through a lot of changes particularly if Leliana becomes divine:

If Vivienne becomes Divine she pretty much keeps everything the way is was before and spends her time focusing on controlling the mages. So if she is divine I guess not.

Cassandra is pretty much the same as Vivienne. Though she does do a lot of reforms so she might allow it.

The main point I bring this to is if Leliana becomes divine. Leliana pretty much changes the Chantry and makes it a lot more diverse. In the epilogue it says that she admits non-human's into the Chantry priesthood. Which made me wonder if she would also allow men into the Chantry Priesthood as well? After all, in the dragon age-verse allowing non-humans into the priesthood should surely be a bigger step than allowing men into it.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

I'd see Leliana as the only of the Divines likely to allow it.

Leliana likes to do away with a lot of restrictions. I'd say Leliana would be the only choice. Vivienne and Cassandra are very much the same, although, Vivienne would like to concentrate more on Mages whereas Cassandra would concentrate on the Seekers and Templars more.

Thats a good question. I think making Leliana divine is the only option with a slight chance.Maybe I'm just crazy but I have this weird feeling now that if they won't do it, the in-game justification will be that the divine in tevinter is a man which makes it bad :P. But if they do allow men in the chantry I hope that Dorian reforms tevinter so that the black divine can be a woman as well :), especially if we go north in the next DA (If I'm gonna play a magister I wanna make her the black divine, cause just the title alone sound awsome)

Fair point, though then again Vivinne can become a divine and she is a mage, something the tevinter divine has to be as well. Though in tevinter while only a man can become the Black Divine, women can still be part of the priesthood.

Men are totally allowed in the Chantry... in the north.  The Black Divine is a dude. I honestly don't know if Leliana would change the structure to allow men to have more positions of authority?  Discussing this kind of sounds like we are discussing the Catholic church.  Even with a really liberal Divine, how much change could the faithful take at one time without having a crisis of faith?

But like I said she already allowed other races into the priesthood which would have been a far bigger step. It would be kind of strange if she then didn't also allow men into it.

I kind of doubt a man potentially reaching the status of Divine would be a thing with Tevinter around.

Both men and women serve at all levels of the Imperial Chantry.

In fact, this is one of the main policies that Drakon's knock-off took issue with.

Isn't part of the reason only women are allowed into the higher echelons of the Chantry because they're seen as symbolically married to the Maker? From what we have heard of Leliana with a romanced Warden she undoes celibacy laws which is already a blow against that belief, and by the sounds of it with a female Warden she allows the same sex to marry, so being symbolically married to the Maker might not be seen as too odd for a man anyway. It's possible.

Well, not quite. The Imperial Divine is always male.

It's more of men being seen as condemned for Maferath's betrayal.

The "majority" have been male, as according to the WoT, which is also the source for the "at all levels" quote.

Of course, WoT is also the progenitor of "Blood magic is powered by pain", so... One can fully expect it to be wrong.

Dorian confirms that they're all male.

Except a woman can never be black divine.

To be fair we've seen an instance where a non-human has been allowed into the Chantry (Brother Burkel) but I imagine Leliana would put away most of those petty restrictions (I imagine though that most of the Grand Clerics will remain human women for quite a while).

If Leliana can just throw out the Circle system and racial restrictions, I doubt gender equality is going to be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

This.

Particularly considering that men aren't an oppressed class in Thedas, unlike alienage elves. Allowing elves to become Chantry priests would be more likely to cause a fuss than allowing men in.

Well secular schism isn't exactly a point of focus of mine but it seems certain elements of the Chantry would disapprove.

Honestly how much does she have to do to be offed already Jesus.

Anything is possible in the Chantry! It's more like a wandering freak show now. Men, women, children of all ages and races. Come and worship whatever random b.s. the Inquisitor deems fit. And if you're lucky, join in a gangbang session with the Iron Bull and the Sisters of Haven.

I honestly don't think anything matters anymore. This is fantasy world building at it's finest.

What, bitter about how old structures don't hold up so well when much of the foundation was literally blown away?
