So, I was replaying the game and thought it would be interesting to take Blackwall with me to see the Warden (Stroud in my playthrough).

I was really hoping that there would be some comment on the fact that Blackwall is NOT a real Warden and as such does not carry the taint - and cannot be sensed by the other wardens.

It seems to me, that with being hunted down by the others, Stroud would be on full alert for ANY other Warden in the area - and then being introduced to someone who does not carry the taint and told they are a Warden, would make him ask questions.

It really bothered me that this came about - I was sure that I'd get something from either Stroud, or Blackwall deciding to wait outside and be a look out or something.

So it got me thinking, was this just completely over-looked by the team, or could there be an in world reason for it? Is it possible that some Wardens don't take the joining, but remain as perhaps the recruiters etc - or did Stroud just automatically and off-handedly dismiss Blackwall as a liar.

This bugs me a bit, and I honestly can't think of a decent 'real' world explanation for Stroud's lack of response and was wondering what other people thought.

Or with the fake calling he's too distracted to notice

I had considered this, but considering he was being hunted by all other Wardens - surely he would take notice of the Inquisition bringing a Warden to meet him, and then surely he would have noticed that he couldn't sense him.

This is what I'm having difficulty getting my head around.

Stroud was primarily based in the Free Marches, so he would probably not know Blackwall except by name and reputation.

Alistair does acknowledge his presence and seems to recognize something's not on the up and up, but has more pressing issues to worry about.

This bothered me too. I get why no one noticed in Adamant given all the Wardens running around but Stroud/Alistair/Lohgain should have noticed something. My guess is that Blackwall kept his distance from the Warden to minimize contact. It is possible they did notice something but given the circumstances they decided not to say anything since he seemed to be helping. They had bigger things happening.
