Also I laugh every time Tyrion makes a joke.

For a book with countless horrors, ASOIAF has made laugh more than any other book.

Davos: "Lord Celtigar called it admirable."

Stannis: "Had I shown him the contents of my privy, he would have called that admirable as well."

No love for Bill Hicks yet on this thread? Similar to George Carlin, Hicks had a way of moving back and forth between comedy and social commentary in his acts. He died of pancreatic cancer in 1994 at age 32, but since then he's acquired a legacy as a comedian's comedian (back in the 90s, there was a big controversy over whether or not Denis Leary stole material from Hicks). Here's his well known "It's just a ride" bit, while here's his commentary on marketing.

I like Bill Hicks as well. I think this is one of my favorite bits he did.

Comedy genre of movies has gone down into toilette for some time. It's just sexual jokes, showing nudity and awkward scenes.

I see no real humour. Maybe Community series and a few other ones do it correctly sometimes.

I go for cheap-ass parodies if there is nothing better.

I also need to see more Stewart, George Carlin etc.
