I would think if you were going to make her "special", you would at least attempt to make her likable.   Sera is a character I really NEVER need to see again in a game.

I love Sera.

 

And I hate her. I never use her.

 

But I'll use her a lot in a future playthrough.

 

I lovehate her.

 

EDIT: Oh and yes, I do consider her connected to Andruil.

She's already special, by being who she is. She doesn't need gods and spirits to be awesome.

Try hitting something  moving with a bow. Not as easy as you think. And she the best archer in the series that's not a main character.

 

It's a lot less difficult if you practice. Normal people who are living in our world can do it. Thus being able to shoot things with a bow isn't special. And there isn't any indication that she is the best archer in the series. Leliana in fact is a lot better. As is Varric with Bianca.

 

In fact Varric learned to shoot Bianca the same way Sera did, by practicing. And that's how you get good at shooting a bow or doing any such similar physical task. Practice.\

 

There is absolutely zero real evidence that would make anyone believe Sera is anything other than a elf who happens to hate other elves and pretends to be the champion of the downtrodden when in reality she's just a petty criminal who was abused as a little girl which thus lead her to absolutely hating all nobles and her own elfish characteristics.

Would explain why all the companions are weird and dreary, if the are all trapped gods... Its a shame if Sera is a trapped god because i really like her insanity for her not some elven god...

That she was self taught truly is special since it takes most people years of tutelege and training to become even remotely competent.

There's also no evidence in canon that either Leliana or Varric are better archers.

Varric himself states that he isn't all that great a shot, worse than Bianca the dwarf by his own admission in fact, and using a crossbow takes far less training than a bow.

As for the last part, following every major quest she offers approval for focusing on those who get caught in the crossfire.
It's as close to real evidence as one can get from the game itself.

On topic: I'm hoping it isn't true about her being a goddess. I like her as she is.

There's heaps of discussion about her being Andruil on the forums.

 

She says herself that she just picked it up and no one really taught her and Solas makes a comment something like "She is as far away from what she actually is as possible". This alluding to the person she is now really being something/one else.
