The Witcher. We play as the most talented witcher in the history in the beginning of the first game.
PS: it's a great game.

"Great numbers"
Oh yeah. I see. 1 game is a great number.
Also, don't know how accurate the Witcher Wiki is since I don't play the game but this bit: "Geralt returns to life with no recollection of the details of his sudden reappearance or the intervening five years. He is rescued by the last remaining witchers in the world and taken back to Kaer Morhen." sounds like resetting him just like Shepard got reset in ME2 by killing him/her. He starts out with less than before.

And Warden Commander = The Highest Ranked Warden. So, it is not irrelevant is it ? Still a long way to the top. Even High Constable has much more influence than the warden commander in Thedas.
@Toasted Llama: do you remember every single game you played? No? I don't either! But check other wikis as well, you'll find other games like that I'm sure. Besides, The Witcher didnt remember people but people knew the witcher. the same way people heard of the commander but commander doesn't know them yet.

It would likely just end up like Revan and the exile did in SWTOR, bringing the warden back is a bad idea, voiced or not.

I love my HoF, absolutely love her. I put a ridiculous amount of hours into DA:O, and I love her and Alistair. I think I'd really enjoy seeing her back, regardless if I could play her or not. I'd like to know what her and Alistair have been up to as king and queen, I'd want to see her development. The voice doesn't really bother me, as long as it's acted and written well.
But I get the feeling that it could go horribly wrong, very quickly, if not done properly. There would need to be a solid reason for her return, not just a crappy cameo for the sake of BW milking characters for the shigs. They'd have to make it meaningful otherwise it would just leave a lot of fans feeling sour.

IDK about you but a person who has the command over the entire division from 1 country of a international organization seems to be getting quite close to the concept of "King".
Yes I do remember most games that I played and can name a few games that start from the bottom or near-bottom ish and rise to hero status in a short time OR use the amnesia tactic to 'reset' the character. Guild Wars 1 - all 3 factions, Guild Wars 2, most of Bioware's games, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XIII, Tekken 6's campaign (actually most Tekken games if you think about it), Dante's Inferno, Skyrim, Oblivion, Borderlands 2, Borderlands TPS, Tales of the Borderlands (yes I like borderlands, shaddap), Jak 1, Jak 2...
Takes a bit longer to think after a while but still, that's at least a bigger number than 1.

Yes, since the character had a bunch of voices that the player could pick and were used as battle cries.

I would probably enjoy a DLC that involved the Hero of Ferelden... but then, I was never particularly attached to my HoF. I wouldn't care if she or he wasn't exactly the way I thought she or he was. But if I did hold a passionate opinion about my HoF, I can see how a DLC might feel unsatisfying. And the way some people post about their HoFs, I can easily envision a meltdown if they didn't get it exactly right... and that would be inevitable, since we all have different ideas what "exactly right" would entail.

Personally i don´t know. My Warden is one of my favourite characters. I probably would be giggeling like a little girl to see him again. But on the other hand i do not trust the current Bioware team enough. They would probably give him a few lines only to kill him later.

As much as I would love seeing my Warden again and all its past choices come to fruition, this is one of the cases where its impossible to "make it right". There's so many hooks attached to the HoF that making a game with him as protagonist would need so many different player choices to happen that just by the beggining of the game we would have like 5 or 6 different games in one. Every single choice from Origins would branch into so many other choices that come from the 3 previous games, i think its impossible at this time and age to make a game that would work (unless they worked on it for 10years and charged 200dollars for it when it comes out). The already plagued by destructive criticism BSN would explode tenfold and probably the devs would just give up trying to cater to all of our many and different "wants". I think it's just best to let it go, and move forward.
With the state of things by the half of the saga (still on game 3 of 6), i wouldnt want to be in the devs shoes when it comes to make the final game, considering all the player choices they will have to work through. If they had the burden of bringing the HoF back, this could end up like a tiny snowball gaining momentum to become a disastrous avalanche and exploding in all our faces ![]()

I think that bringing him back would be a bad move regardless of how they did it. People have such varied visions of their wardens that it's practically inevitable that a significant number of people would be upset with how they were handled regardless of what Bioware did. Ironically, I think that people who aren't particularly attached to their wardens (like me) would, as a whole, end up liking his reappearance more than his more passionate fans specifically because we aren't so invested in the character.
Aside from that, I like that he's a hero that accomplished his task and is no longer at the forefront of history-making events. I'd prefer to let him step out of the spotlight.

Thats true. even if bioware would agree to have him/her return they might retaliate by killing the warden off. Just to end it all.

Oh, I'd be fine with any voice for the Warden.... as long as she's voiced by Kat Cressida.
Ok, seriously: it's been made pretty clear we're not going to see or hear the Warden, and I'm 100% okay with that. I would love to see them in the new engine and with a voice, but I don't need it; they can still be alive and a part of the story without being physically there, like in inquisition.

Riordan was a Grey Warden of Orlais but he didn't have French accent. Besides, the Awakening Warden Commander spent enough time in Ferelden to have Fereldan Accent already, I think. Even Frenc Accent wouldn't be necessary. Although in any case, even if the Warden was voiceless again, still would be much better than Hawke/Inquisitor in my opinion.
Riordan was fereldan, he was just "stationed" in Orlais.
