I agree. I think it's best to leave it be.
I have a feeling we shall see Hawke every so often...but otherwise it's going to be different each time.
Brian Blessed can do female wardens.
I don't think his wife would be very pleased.

I actually think that might be Bioware's big secret plan to live up to the old marketing promise that Hawke would be most important hero in Thedas. Now, on every hero's journey, Hawke will show up to give some crucial lead

Spoiler
Possibly, we don't actually see them fall. There's wiggle room for an escape.
So, the first time I ever played DA2 was right after my first playthrough of DAI, which means my first ever encounter with Hawke was on the roof with Varric in DAI. Because I hadn't played DA2, I didn't change the default tiles much for DA2 in Keep for the most part, except I made a M!Hawke mage and made sure Anders was still alive.
honestly whatever bioware would present as options for HoF's voice/personality in DA:I.....its doomed to fail. people have become so attached to their HoF and have built him/her up in their own minds (headcannon) that whatever is put on the screen will, best case, disappoint 99% of those asking for this. Worst case, bioware just pisses off the entire fanbase.
so to answer op, yes it would be cool to see/hear HoF. In reality, though, judging by how bioware fans react when something is not EXACTLY the way they wanted it (but its not like how my headcannon warden is!) and accounting for just the enormous number of permutations HoF can have, its not gonna end well. Even if the game tosses handfuls of gold through the screen, scratches your back, and does your homework, no one will be satified.
apologies for the cynicism.
If they do bring the warden back, have us choose which voice like they did in DA:Inquisition. I really love the "accents" voice. I guess it's "England?" accent or something similar. There was only like three races to choose from back then. Modify accordingly... I say. Get feedback from the community. It's shame they said they won't.
I do have to say, I was pleased with what I did receive about my Warden through Lelianna and especially Morrigan and learning about what happen after my Warden walked through the Eluvan(sp) with Morrigan.
And learning about my warden's time with his son.
I am curious if the Warden will succeed in finding a cure for the calling. And what that's all about. I also want to know what up with/happened at Weisshaupt? Sounds like a fascinating tale to be told.
I thought including Hawke was a nice touch. I wasn't about to let him die to a freaking spider though. Enjoyed watching myHawke run around with me for time. Even though it sucked he didn't have his long goatee like in DA:2 but he needed a shave anyhow!
Loved hearing his voice again though.

I wouldn't mind it. I know he/she wont live up to my expectations but neither did Revan in swtor but i was fine with Him.
I say yay...and those that say nay don't have to play it. Win-win from where I'm sitting.
No, franchise needs to move on
Considering what they did to Hawke - totally OOC, i could barely recognize Marian and the way she acted.... I'd rather leave the warden alone.
The problem isn't the voice, it's the personality. My Hawke was humorous, through and through and the Hawke i met in DAI wasn't her at all.
It'll never end. Dragon age 6 and people will still ask about warden.
Here are my thoughts on it, since I made a post that involved "The Warden" the other day:
http://forum.bioware...e-dlcsspoilers/
In short. No. Not unless he/she gets killed off
Eh, I don't hold the Warden so sacrosanct that he/she can't be voiced. If the story is there and it's a good one, go for it. Seems like people still WANT the Warden, so I say it's a good way to make a lot of people happy.
But it will also probably ****** off a lot of people too.
I think it'd be fun, though, if we could create them and pick a voice. Why not?
Does the Warden have to have a voice?
There's lots of things he could do with just his actions. Give him a helmet too.
All this could potentially work if put in the right context.
Hell yes, let us play and continue our wardens story ![]()
although I would like it Bioware have made it abundantly clear over the years it is not happening so resigned to that
just make the next protagonist more interesting and go somewhere else in Thedas

I would not object to this.
Yes! I want my warden queen back!
As far as voice actors go, my votes would be for...
James Purefoy for the British male voice
David Hayter (Solid Snake in Metal Gear / Jedi Knight player character in SWTOR) for the North American male voice
Tricia Helfer (Number Six in Battlestar Galactica / EDI in Mass Effect) for the North American female voice
Eva Green for the British female voice
Excellent choices, particularly Purefoy. My only complaint is that Hayter's voice is just a little too high and smooth for a dwarven Warden.
To be fair I haven't heard anything about Revan in TOR, I am assuming it's a non-issue.
Possibly, we don't actually see them fall. There's wiggle room for an escape.
I've seen this said often but it's untrue. Right before the scene returns to Adamant you can see Hawke fall to the ground.
90% of people were OK with Revan in SWTOR?
