Hi, I finished the final boss battle but the loot didn't drop. I should have known that there should be loot but I just thought, "oh well" and continued questing for 2 hours. Big mistake. Is there anyway the new patch could address this problem? Or do I have to replay that fight + 2 hours? Why do this always happen to me?

Also, when will there be a bigger hotbar? I'm level 27 for god's sakes and I can only use half of the spells/abilities I have?

It should've been at the spot where it died, the cutscene with Harding takes you in the middle of the lake but it should be where you killed it but since you left the area I imagine its gone :(

The two times that I completed JoH, I did have to look around a bit after the cut scene. I'm guessing that you just missed it?

Often, when I kill Dragons, the skull will plop down right behind where I made the killing attack from, not where the Dragon supposedly died. If you are a ranged class, go look back where you were standing if you cant find a loot skull.

That happened to me. I ended up going back to an earlier save and got the loot when I redid the fight.

This has happened to me as well. Had to reload a earlier save.

In my final boss fight, the dragon apparently got stuck up on his perch. He came down one time and then retreated back up there when he was hurt. I had to kill him with nothing but ranged/magic attacks from the ledges just beneath him... so of course his loot dropped up on that stupid ledge, which is apparently impossible to get to (I can get up next to it, but the chasm you have to jump is just wide enough that you cannot make it).

So, a really stupid bug that leaves me with the choice of fighting him again or walking away from the loot (which is against my Inquisitor's Religion!). :-/

You killed it too fast. I had the same thing happen the first time I killed the Ice Dragon, did too much damage too quickly and it borked the script. I did find the loot skull down in the middle of the combat area though after killing it on the perch.

Heh, the loot/skull of the dragon is on top of an iceberg with no way to access it.

Load previous save and re-kill it, this time slowing down your dps and letting the script run.

Nah, I can live without the staff and a few crafting mats. Besides, my earlier save is a about 30 hours before. If there is one thing I am certain of, is that I didn't kill it too fast. In fact, it took quite a while with several waves of addons.

So you forgot the number 1 rule of RPGs?

Save now, save often.

Saves a lot of headaches and regret later on.

Because I'm near the 50 save limit, I'll have to be stingy with my saves. Not to mention, I've done JoH with two other characters before. So I just moved on with this one.
