You can actually glitch yourself back into the Undercroft. The walls are too steep to climb up properly though, as you're on the outer ring. So at least for me, I've never found a way back out from there.
I get there by talking to Solas on a specific section of his floor, and then sink down a bit more each question asked. Might have been fixed, but if not, the spot's on about 5-6 steps to the left of his table, from where you enter his room from the main hall.
Absolutely awesome to see the hat make a comeback in the DLC.
