Bug One: Banner and Song Collections:

This is a post from Geckonator in the BioWare forum. I wanted to share it with everyone.

http:\\forum.bioware.com/topic/545828-minor-collection-fixes/?hl=%2Bpatron+%2Bthe+%2Barts

The problem: Geckonator: The Garden Upgrade Rewards:  The Plant Garden gives a song for Patron of the Arts while the Chantry Garden gives a Banner Topper.  Thus, the Patron and Banner collections are made mutually exclusive, which is very misleading and frustrating for players.  I've also seen that buying the Garden Song in Val Royeaux doesn't update the quest, which once again makes these two exclusive.  We even know these collections are coded off of item type rather than specifics, so simply adding another banner crown and song to the game in fixed open world positions would work (like was done with the Dwarven Banner to compensate for the Mage-Templar choice).

Bug Two: Nursery Seed Collection: Deathroot is a Tier 2 Common Herb. Unlike the other common herbs you can not get the seed for it. I have picked thousands of them but have yet been able to get the seed for it.

You can not complete these collections. For the first bug one or the other or both will fail. The deathroot seed you can never get. I hope that BioWare fixes this issue like they fixed the Mosaic collection in the next patch. I don't know if XBox or PlayStation has this problem or not but please post if you have this issue.

Things being mutually exclusive is good. it encourages you to make mulitple playthroughs....

Should not be that way for collections. If there is multiple paths then give us a different banner or song. As for the deathroot make the seed available and that should not be based on a decision. Most collections you just get them there should not be mutually exclusive or decision you have to make to get them completed.

Why? Seriously, why should you be able to do them all in one playthrough?

On the other hand, why multiple playthroughs???  I felt LUCKY to complete it with all the bugs and was so frustrated with chasing bugs, avoiding them and reverting to old saves when I failed to do so.  I was asked to check something out for a friend after a patch and I was reluctant to even try.   I'd prefer a map system or system of clues than some easter egg hunt.  There is an overbearing threat and urgency that many of these fetch quests ignore and most don't fit the plot.

PhroXenGold then why did BioWare even patch the Mosaic collections? Why even bother patching anything? I ignore the Requisition fetch quests but hard to ignore a bugged quest even if it is a fetch quest or even a requisition. Like the Mosaic collections you should be able to complete it in any play through without any bugs. As for encouraging multiple play through but this actually discourages multiple play through. These are bugs plain and simple. They need to be fixed. After paying $60+ dollars I want at least anything that in the statistics or quests be able to complete them without any bugs. Unlike Skyrim or Oblivion there is no console command to add items or modify a quest. I am not using any mods until all content is released and they have completed the game without any future development. So the only alternative is to have BioWare patch and fix these bugs.

B10D1V agreed. This go fetch stuff is crap very boring aspect of the game and agreed they don't fit into the main story line just add frustration when they don't work.
