I hope the next game is about fighting the Inquisition.

It would be fun if in the next game we get to play someone who feels the Inquisition should change nothing and live up to its name sake and go away.

I like the sound of it, but the only way I see it happening is if the Inquisitor leaves the Inquisition, and it gets taken over by some evil entity.
From what I understood, the Inquisition is actually as powerful as any kingdom or country, if not more powerful than some, and is a "real" power.

Did the original Inquisition disband though? They became the Seekers of Truth IIRC. The Inquisition is too big and too powerful to simply disband. You could potentially have the Templars or the mages as part of the Inquisition as well as the lands under your protection, and the people who are grateful to you. Not to forget the religious following the Inquisitor probably still has.
You have the Chantry as a potential ally seeing the Divine regardless of who it happens to be is probably a friend to you. Who is going to call for you to be disbanded.
Do players actually want to go up against their own PC? Do players want their PC to be portrayed as the antagonist?
I don't know how this would work.

It's associated with the Chantry, no matter how hard you try to do anything about this you end up a loyalist and rebuilding that cancerous scar on Thedas, so are tainted and as deserving of death as the Chantry itself, no need for a new evil, the most genocidal mortal organisation is already in charge. If we could have actually done the only possible good act and killed every member of the Chantry hierarchy we encountered, then the inquisition would actually have been heroic.

Past PC's being enemies should be in order of release. The Hero of Ferelden/Orlesian WC has to get a crack at it first.
Too much work. They're dead/gone. Does the Orlesian Warden even get a mention?
If anyone's coming back, it's "3 tone" Hawke or "Plain Jane in a Manger" Inquisitor, the Inquisitor less so due to how radically different they look.

Personally I'd rather play my Inquisitor and have him assist Mysthal in her revenge.

It kinda doesn't matter, because making a former protagonist come back as an enemy automatically makes this whole returning former PC thing become a big ol' crock o' sh**, mainly because it essentially nukes the character, but also because it would basically have to be a default appearance, unless, for some whacky reason, we got a CC to design our own enemy...

I could see the inquisition becoming a corrupted force in the future and wouldn't be that surprised if we come up against that force. I don't think it would be under the control of our Inquisitor though, but they could be deposed and I'm really hoping for the opportunity for my Inquisitors to leave it, my Lavellan is there because she had to be, to combat a specific threat, with that gone it makes sense for her to leave.

I dont like the sound of that, I mean, we spend countless hours building an organization and then we have to fight it?
I think lot of the Inquisition personnel are going to return home, once the war is over. The remaining Inquisition forces are most likely to take over some former Templar roles.
I would like to fight Qunari, but BioWare is too correct to let that happen. I guess that leaves us with nazi Rome Tevinter.

I don't really want to go against my own PC... I'd rather be playing a evil Inquisitor instead of him being the antagonist.

I feel the same about my Cadash. She was only there to stop Cory. She said over and over she did not belive in the Maker and even tried to turn down the job as Inquisitor.

Same here. I was among the first ones criticising the bland-ness of the Inquisitor, but after all those months and simply discarding the "trevellyan" identity altogether, I really like my guy and the story/personality I laid out for him in my head by now.
I wouldn't be opposed to the Inquisition going "rogue", or rather declaring the Inquisitor has done so, and having to somehow fight the huge force I have created myself.
edit: On second thought, one may argue that there's an overkill of previously highly decorated organizations going rogue in BioWare games already.

The only way I'd want to fight the Inquisition is because some bastard killed my Inquisitor and then took over. That would give me a real incentive to want to take them down, even more so if they started misusing my organisation.
But unless they have my Inquisitor being mind controlled by blood magic, there is no way they would go so bad that I would feel enthused enough to want to destroy them. Most have done their best to play down the religious aspect, although the Divine always endorses the Inquisition on taking up the post.
As for my Inquisitor who decided to embrace the whole Herald of Andraste thing, he was my most merciful and forgiving Inquisitor to date. I actually feel I got the best result with him: an inspired Leliana as Divine, my conscripted mages forming the Bright Hand, Cassandra rebuilding the Seekers, the southern Grey Wardens working with the people of Thedas and Briala controlling Orlais. The reputation and power of the Inquisitor and his Inquisition is what continues to hold all this together. Why on earth would I want to destroy it?
For those people who simply seem to hate religion I can say that when Cory said "I'm a god" and I was able to respond "I'm the Maker's chosen", it was what I'd been longing to say through all the previous play throughs but couldn't because I was established as a non believer. The Chantry at the end of his game certainly bore little resemblance to the Chantry at the beginning, thanks to the Herald of Andraste (who is really an agnostic about the Maker)

I wanted to hang up my Inquisitoralness hat, because as Solas said, 'Organizations are inherently corrupt, given enough time, an organization will turn away from its original purpose.' Same thing will most likely happen to the new Inquisition. Seeing that we weren't given that option, I'd like to do the next best thing, do "good" things as long as my character can. Meaning, I'd hate if my former PC turns into an antagonist, sure if they present it as if the Inquisitor has been overthrown by some evil, demonic forces then I'd be okay, even if the plot sound a tad bit stupid.

I'm pretty sure this is a troll post, but the Inquisition in DAI isn't affiliated with the Chantry, apart from Mother Giselle. The Chantry goes out of its way to denounce the Inquisition for half the game.

What is it with people's obsession with "turn the Inquisition evil"?
Expand this to "the protagonist of the last game" and it would be my question.
I remember seeing a lot of people wanting the villain of ME4 to be ControlShepard, and people on other sites are wanting Liu Kang to be the villain in MKX.

Some people would already consider the Inquisition to be evil, on the personal-incident scale.
