Before anyone says anything, I am aware that the Superior Prowler Armor is the BiS armor, period. However, I want my mage to wear Light Armor, not Medium. Knowing that, what would be the best Light Armor for a Qunari KE? If it makes any difference, I plan on using the Arishok Vitaar and the Seer Staff, so I won't be neglecting my crit chance entirely.

Also, I have no idea what accessories to use. Any input on the subject would be appreciated.

Best min/max or best looking?

 

Go here, select Armor and sort by Min/Max armor. That will show you the ultimate, though you might not be able to get it depending on circumstances. The best available schematic by random Tier 3 chest/drop is Superior Battlemage Coat.

The best arms and leg upgrades depends on what you want to do. Are you trying to buff Willpower or Dexterity? Crit/Crit? Resistances? The same link above has tables for upgrades, browse and find what you want.

 

Short answer is prefer Offense > Utility > Defense slots, and Leather > Cloth > Metal materials (except for Everite in Offense slots). This is a grossly oversimplified restatement of GhoXen's crafting priority footnote:

3% Flanking Dmg > 1.75% Attack > 3% Armor Pen > 1.75% Crit Chance = 1.75 Dexterity (rogue) >1.75 Willpower > 1.75 Magic (mage) = 1.75Strength (warrior) > > 1.75 Cunning > 3% Crit Dmg > 3% Barrier Dmg > 3% Guard Dmg

The best accessories again depend on what you want to do? For a mage, Superb Cooldown amulet is probably the ultimate. The rest really depends on circumstances.

Easy answer:

 

Superior Battlemage Armor

 

It is the only tier 3 superior light armor with 2 utility slots.  Everything else is loaded with defense slots.

 

I recommend willpower for the cloth utility and pure dex for the leather utility.  Cunning is worthless to slot.

FWIW, since Offense Leather is hard to come by for Light Armor, I went with Flanking Damage and Sunder for my KE. Fade Step to the rear, Spirit Blade for bonus damage, rinse and repeat.

I also recommend Battlemage Armor Legs and Battlemage Armor Arms for the same reason Bigdawg13 recommends the armor.  Utility cloth slots.  Though you can slot snoufleur skin in Superior Prowler Armor and try to maximize utility leather.  But I prefer the attack/magic defense of willpower or attack/barrier dmg of magic that you can get from utility cloth for my mages.  So I slot dragon webbing when that becomes available.
