While I attempt to spare people what I'm sure is a trying time by avoiding hosting whenever possible, lately I've gotten tired of getting 'Connection to the session was lost' or 'Hosting migration failed' messages when I'm trying to use the quick match 'feature' or being dumped into a public lobby as lead.
I don't often see people bunny-hop in my lobbies, but I have had people get on the mic and swear at me regarding the lag they are experiencing. And I've had other people get on the mic and politely ask if anyone else is rubberbanding...at which point I apologise for their gaming experience and see myself out of the lobby at the end of the match.
And it's always been hit or miss for me as to whether or not all those things that supposedly are more reliable on-host are actually performing better. Like avoiding the DC's knockdown or the VC's/mage's fire mines. I do feel badly about subjecting others to my apparent lag-fest, but when it takes 10+ minutes to find a lobby you can connect to, only to find that you can't actually play in that lobby because maybe you CTD, or it never loads, or you can't move, or your UI doesn't load, or you end up stuck in a wall or behind a door, or there's just been a hosting migration and you fail that, or you land in an empty lobby 3+ times in a row...you sort of run out of alternatives to hosting, I'd think.
I used to land in sessions where I had to bunny-hop more often than I do now, but I wasn't having such a hard time finding a lobby either. Not quite sure what to make of the whole thing, honestly.
