Okay, so I noticed some people on the site are fans of RuPauls’ Drag Race (which I live for), so I wanted to make this thread to talk about season 7.

 

Here are the rules:

 

 

1) If you are about to spread your hateful opinions about drag or the LGBTQ community, then do us all a favor:

2) No personal attacks – I realize we all have different opinions, but don’t hate on a person if you don’t agree with theirs.

3) Reading is fundamental – That doesn't mean you can’t read the queens though. If you don’t like their style, think they deserve to go home, shouldn't have won a challenge or something, then preach!

I've only watched the first 2 seasons. But I enjoyed it, I just never felt the need to continue with the show.

Is it any better? Or just the same old same old?

Okay, I'll bite. 

 

Anyone else totally underwhelmed with this season?  It's like Ru's scraping the bottom of the drag barrel now.  There's really no one this season who is even half the competitor that Bianca, Sharon, or Raja were.  To me, it seems like it's a bunch of tepid "comedy queens", a bunch of queens who just want to 'look pretty', and a handful of fodder. 

 

I think it's Ginger's season to lose at this point.  She's not my favorite queen, but she's consistent, polished, and funny (even if she's a try-hard sometimes).  The only one who is really competition for her is Violet, but she's a stank ****** most of the time, so I doubt Ru would select her to represent the 'brand'.  This is one of my three favorite shows on television right now (the others being GoT and TWD, so totally not like RPDR at all), but I'm underwhelmed this season. 

 

For me, this season:

 

Love:  .......

Like:  Katya, Max

Meh:  Ginger, Kennedy, Miss Fame,

Dislike:  Jaidynn, Pearl

Hate: Violet, Kandy

Yes, it gets much better.  Seasons 3-6 are amazing.  Seasons 1 & 2 were good.  Season 7 is a little underwhelming.

The new untucked format seems more real and less scripted to me even if it is still primarily forced.

I'd far prefer a Bunz Thread, actually, but this is the best thing we've got.

How long are you going to attempt keep up the illusion of not being Tarek btw?

Nazcar is better. It is done by nazghuls. Don't get me started on nazicar. You might be more triggered than rpg events

To be completely honest the first time I watched it, I didn't know who RuPaul was, so I thought it was going to be a show about drag racing. xD

I can't find Untucked anywhere on TV this season. Is it online or something?

I like Max, but her look is the same a lot of the time, I'm not too big on Kandy, and idk about Pearl. She showed she has more potential in the latest challenge, so I'll have to wait and see what else she has to offer.

Untucked is online this year. It's on YouTube but also Logotv.com. It's got a new format this year. It's less staged and more candid. I still enjoy it because you can better idea of people's personalities.

How do I downvote you for this?

 

I felt that way at Ep 1 and 2, but it's actually getting good.  All the people I thought I would hate, I now live for.

 

Fame and the chickens in nature.  OMG

Violet ...bringing Vivienne Leigh realness

Jaidynn's Bianca del Rio was ON POINT

 

We have controversial eliminations, and Ru is looking better than ever.

 

No, there's no Bianca this season--she can't be on every season, although I wish she could.  :(

 

Ahem, but I am learning to love this season.
