Queen Rhia Cousland is a curious, optimistic, introverted, socially awkward romantic who loves King Alistair, and they want to have children. Despite the danger of Corypheus and the Breach, she searches for a cure for the Calling out of this desire to build a family, along with a healthy dose of selfish that all humans need (she's a hero, not a machine). I like to think that Oghren and Nathaniel accompanied her on this quest, along with a mage whose identity remains a mystery to me. Queen Cousland has no desire for direct, personal involvement with the Inquisition's affairs. She has grown weary of politics and hates getting stuck in the Fade.

I feel like I co-created this Warden with BioWare :) So, I try to take my cues from them.

He's in the Royal palace at Orzammar, he has put his feet up, has a nice cup a' tea, reading the sports section of the sun, and has reverted back to making Gorim do all the talking for him.

Stealing this for Dumbledorf Aeducan, my two-handed Berserker/Reaver.

My female mage warden is searching for a cure for the calling. *boring* I want her to somehow cross paths with Hawke since they are related! At first she romanced Alistair and made him king but he dumped her when I refused to execute Loghain and conscripted him into the Wardens. Heartbroken and lonely she decided to romance Leliana after she could hardly forget the fourgy with her, Alistair and Isabela. It's not a party until someone's smallclothes are pinned to a chantry board!

Leliana and her were gonna re-unite after DA:I for good <3. However, in the dragon age keep it noticed the flag for keeping Loghain and staying in a romance with King Alistair as a consort is not mutually exclusive so I reflagged Alistair as my romance. I'm hoping it sticks, I want Ali back!

I'm good with Bioware's finding a cure thing. That was basically my head canon already, so I lucked out I guess. I don't think she would have had any contact with the Inquisitor besides the letter, and would probably want to keep the extent of her research a secret, considering some of the things she did to get it. My canon Warden was Amell, so possibly Hawke. Carver also became a Warden, so I do think they would have wanted to meet.

My Amell was a blood mage, did the dark ritual, and spared both Avernus and the Architect. So I imagine she's probably pretty far down a dark path by now. Hopefully not as far gone as Branka was. But her motivation was to save people with the cure and stop the blights. She has no current romance. Alistair is alive and is an ex lover on the throne.

And that's about it.

Warden Commander Surana is out west looking to cure the Calling. The interesting stuff will happen when he meets up with Morrigan and Kieran again and finds out his son is no longer the vessel for Urthemiel.

I assume he's out adventuring with the surviving Amaranthine wardens (minus Anders) since no mention is ever made of them. I also wonder what will happen if/when he ever returns to Orlais or Ferelden to find the southern Wardens allied with the Inquisition. With the southern Wardens so desparate for leadership, I imagine the ender of the Blight would be an attractive option to lead them.

Warden Commander Cousland, along with his fellow Wardens from Awakening, found a cure for the Calling.

He returned to Morrigan and Kieran and they lived happily ever after.

My Warden Solon Surana spent his time both serving the crown as Chancellor and as First Enchanter of the Ferelden Circle of Magi. He served the crown as a trusted adviser, and as First Enchanter he mentored many young Mages. Most notably he took Conner Guerrin under his wing teaching the boy to master his gifts and looked after him as a favor for his father Eamon The Regent of Ferelden.

He then recieved his orders to rebuild the Ferelden Grey Wardens and was made Commander of The Grey he left the Circles well being to his mentor Irving and he didnt feel he needed to have a replacement as Chancellor Ferelden was in good hands those being its King,Queen & Regent so he left Denerim promising to return as soon as he could after dealing with the situation in Amaranthine.

After the final battle with the Mother and the retreat of The Architect and his Kind he returned to his duties as Chancellor and First Enchanter.

In DAO = Fighting the Blight, naturally

In DAO:A = Fighting the Architet/Broodmother

After the Witch Hunt = Went through the Eluvian with Morrigan. Lives there with his wife and son for a time.

During DAI = On a quest to find a way to cure the Calling, in every different World States

What would be the most likely thing the Warden does after curing the Calling = Going to Weisshaupt, of course. He's a Grey Warden and it's only natural that he goes there after hearing the news of unrest/rebellion from Weisshaupt. He'd end the unrest, unite the wardens and probably become the First Warden. Fight the Architect when he comes back or the Blight if another one begins. He would fight Flemeth/Mythal again if she comes back as well, in whatever body she might be.

If the Hero of Ferelden cures him/herself of the darkspawn corruption, s/he will not be a Warden anymore, thus cannot become First Warden. Of course, the HoF can still help and kill whichever Grey Wardens are causing the most trouble.

S/he will, as Avernus did. Avernus didn't remove the taint from his blood, he simply stopped the spreading. The only difference, Avernus didn't completely stopped spreading taint but with all his researches and the data Warden collected from the Architect, s/he might definitely succeed where Avernus failed.

Actually, there is a great untapped power in taint according to Avernus that even spirits and demons are unfamiliar with so the Warden can do much more than just stopping the spreading taint. S/he can also unlock that power. If anyone can have that power, it's The Warden-Commander since s/he learns even more about the true potential in Grey Warden blood from the Architect.

Your Amell is exactly like my Amell, I made her a blood mage too, spared Avernus, the Architect and Branka and is the ex lover of Alistair I was not letting Morrigan sex him up. I gave Morrigan Loghain instead. I wouldn't say she's down a dark path. I think she's more like Morrigan in her romanticized pursuit in wanting to preserve the magic of old otherwise we'd be left with the mundane.

Aaaaand I have Carver as a warden too! So she has to cross paths with him at least if not Hawke. Don't tell me you had a Male Hawk who romanced Anders too? lol

Malcolem Cousland is looking for a cure for the Calling.  But prior to that he and Aeryn Hawke along with the Architect ventured into the Deep Roads to search out the remaining Old Gods to try and kill them or prevent them from turning into Archdemons, eventually they had to return to the surface.

As of now it's really all up in the air. If BioWare has the Warden pull a Fiona, then no more Warden title. Personally I find the latter preferable to becoming some sort of long-lived quasi-ghoul like Avernus.

He's sleeping around, makin' kissy-faces at all the pretty womens, and trying to date 7 women at the same time, without them finding out. Basically doing all the stuff Morrigan would disprove of if she were still watching him.

That letter about him being out there looking for a cure for the Grey Wardens is just a cover. He saved the world once, he ain't 'bout that life no more.

I aggree completely, but Avernus never aimed to remove the taint from his blood, he thinks the taint is a gift Grey Wardens couldn't use properly. He says so far Grey Wardens just used this gift for trivial matters like sensing Darkspawn and taint has a great untapped power in it. So, The Warden wouldn't become a ghoul or taint wouldn't be removed from his/her blood.

Actually, if the Warden finds a cure that would stop the spreading of the taint in is blood, that wouldn't just turn him into ghoul or make him live long. Avernus wasn't ghoulish, he just lived long thanks to blood magic and he avoided the calling for a very long time and even this would be more than enough to avoid a calling for a lifetime. But his true aim was to change the Joining ritual so that it will not spread in Grey Wardens' body and grant Grey Wardens much more than just sensing Darkspawn and Archdemons.

According to Avernus, Grey Warden blood has a great untapped power and using this gift just to sense Darkspawn was foolish. He summoned demons with blood magic but some demons were more familiar with blood magic than humans (since demons taught humans the blood magic) so he couldn't control all the demons. But, Avernus says, they are not familiar with the power of the taint so they cannot counter it.

In DAO, if the Warden drinks the Avernus' Concoction, it grants him/her new Grey Warden abilities. I'm curious what kind of powers would the taint grant to him if he can unlock this power. I'd love to see that.

I like to think he was in the Deep Roads killing darkspawn, discovering old Thaigs, and ultimately trying to find a cure to the calling.

And...

Then he returns to the surface. First he visits Divine Leliana to ask her to arrange a meeting between him and the Inquisitor to discuss the events that unraveled while he was underground. Next he will write and/or meet with Morrigan and Kieran to discuss their future, and anymore leads in discovering a cure for the calling as his time is running out.

Haven't really thought beyond that. Curing the calling is his #1 priority. But if he is at a dead end I could see him spending his twilight days with Morrigan/Kieran, but I think he would want to help Loghain and bring leadership the Grey Wardens too.

Hey, Morrigan was all for it! It was Loghain who said please excuse me if I think about my dead wife.

I always laugh when she says, "You'd rather make love to a dessicated corpse than me?"

Tsk tsk, you'd let your husband have sexual relations with that woman?

I headcanon that my Warden and Loghain end up together (I do what I want). My Warden devotes her efforts to studying the origin and nature of the Blight corruption. She's interested in if the Calling can be cured without also curing the taint (because the taint is useful and the Calling is not (as far as I know)).

She is political and would have had opinions about the mage-templar war, but would not have purposely involved herself in it. She is a templar herself, not because she hates mages, but because templar powers are her best weapon against enemy mages. She has no reason that I can think of to have had contact with Hawke.

My Warden probably would have dropped the Calling cure search temporarily to help with the Breach because of Corypheus' nature as a darkspawn magister. She'd also be interested in the Inquisition, again, because she is political and would have wanted to try to cement some kind of influence there.

And I think my Warden would actually be down with "becoming some sort of long-lived quasi-ghoul like Avernus" as long as she could avoid becoming a broodmother.

I do have multiple "canon" Wardens, with wildly different stories, but this one is my favorite.
